The Guardian have introduced their new online feature where you can create your own 'chalkboards'.
If you are an aspiring statistician you are going to love this new feature but even if you are less serious and just wish to compile your own database of your favourite players or whatever then you won't find yourself bogged down in a ton of boring, meaningless numbers.
The interactive chalkboards claim to be very simple to create and can access data compiled from every single Premier League game going back over the last 2 seasons. Everything is represented clearly as a colourful graphic & supposedly allows you to access the sort of information only previously available to managers & coaches.
Along with your own chalkboards, The Guardian will be posting those constructed by well-known names in football such as our own David Pleat, David James and Steve Claridge for you to compare to.
It is all very interesting but it is supposed to be good fun, so here's what I suggest. Why not post your own Tottenham orientated creations here in this thread for us all to see & discuss?
I am going to delve in & get busy . . . you might not see me for a bit!

Will we stay or will we go now?
Will we stay or will we go now?
If we go there will be trouble
and if we stay we'll do the double
So Levy has got let us know
Will we stay or will we go!
Rafael, Van Der Vaart
ƒuck Chelsea & Frank Lampard
with a nick-nack paddywhack he'll be getting goals
when Lampard's too fat & old

COME ON YOU SPURS!!!
Its not nearly as nerdy as it sounds because of its graphical nature & you can really see where certain games turned (usually against us!). I wouldn't go near it otherwise. I only like pretty pictures!
I think they could have gone a little further tho & included areas & distance covered by players in a game & it is a little weird that you can only compare players/teams by game rather than over a whole season.
It will be interesting for the new season because you can really see where we went wrong or where we were actually doing well immediately after games have been played.
For example, I was looking at our successful passes in our incredible 1st half Away at Man Utd compared to the tragic 2nd Half. You can see a HUGE difference, with Lennon (No. 7) on the right-side having much more influence in the 1st 45 than in the 2nd and Darren Bent being involved much more higher up the pitch too in the 1st half.

they've had this feature for a few months, haven't had the time to do one myself, but some of the ones I've looked at have been very enlightening. I love the Guardian's website.
