Ok i love the lad i really do...But after his way of leaving comming back, etc etc, i would of thought he would be ok... 3 goals in 10 matches 1 witch is a pen...Yes one was a very vital one against sunderland in the 89th mn and the other one was on our 4-0 romping against middlesborough.
At 1st i thought to myself he needs confidence back...The supporters applauds his play and glorfies him all match long, the lack of confidence u cant keep that excuse up Keano...And where has his energy gone? He has beary run 7km in his last couple of matches...When he was avg'n 11-12.
Somin aint right...Could it be Harry telling him to not try as much?
Darren Bent : 32 matches, 21 starts,12goals, avg goal per mns played 180
Robbie Keane : 10 games played, 10 starts, 3 goals, avg goals per mns played 299
Defoe : 4 games, 3 starts, 2goals (should be bloody 3), avg goals per mns played 143
Pav is doing better than Keane...
Coooome oooon yoooou spuuuurs, cooome ooon yooou spuuurs.

i think keano is suffering from return syndrome he'll come good.he's no mug.he has my backing, look at the way he moves defenders around,he needs a settled striker with hhim.
go on cut me....i bleed lily white blood
Agree. When we settle who is playing besides him I think Keano will start playing better.
Even in his current form he draws defenders, and helps catalyze many of the goals we score.
We all follow the Tottenham!
i dont get why keane is a nailed on starter all of a sudden. defoe will be a REAL threat to his position if they both keep playing the way they are (no, they cant play together)
because keane's a better player than defoe....
personally i cant believe that your judging him after only 10 games back....its a bit harsh.
i must also agree, when i watch a game im getting fed up seeing him play deep picking up the ball, i would rather see him mix up defenders in the box, poching goals![]()
Keane wasn't that great until Berba came. I think we have overrated him a bit of recent and would much rather have Defoe starting along with Pav.
But Keano is still good and I think he'll get better soon.
he will come good again he has my full backing he wouldnt have come back if he didnt belive he would do it again fot us give him time
Yea, but it's not like he's a foreign player coming into a new league or even a completely new team, he's coming back from an extended holiday.
His performances haven't been up to scratch but I hope he'll get there at the start of next season, I do like Keano. At least he puts the effort in all the time even if he's not playin the best.
"It's no use just winning, we've got to win well."
I think Harry wants him playing deeper- I don't think he's being asked to shoulder the burden of scoring goals. We have been a different team with him around, and I think he gives us the fire that we clearly didn't have in the first half. Don't know what will happen next year, but I look at him as a major part of our revival, whether he's put in a bunch of goals or not.
keane is a better and much more intelligent player than both pav and defoe.....keane mite not be playing well now but his potential and skill is still there it doesnt just dissapear....and too add pavs also incossistent and defoe likes to keep the ball to himself for to long
agree.....
but it was a pretty nasty holiday...and he claims its was his boyhood dream, and for it to be made so public as such a mess/farce, i could definately understand why his form isn't what it was....again its not like he's playing absolutley terrible.
he scores goals and when he hits some form he will create and score for fun....i hope.
IMO Robbie offers more to the team then just goals. Sure he needs to start banging in a few more. But his movement on the pitch and how he is linking up the players more is nothing short of excellent. Ontop of that he is a great motivator... No one can argue with the fact we look like a better team now he is back.
