Tottenhamhotspur.com - News Articles - Bent sidelined
personally i'm gutted because i think he was starting to prove his doubters wrong. i guess this will give pavlyuchenko a bit more time on the pitch before the end of the season though.
Happy days!
i never like to see anyone get injured. hope its not too serious.
but i am excited to see either Pav or Defoe get time playing.
Yid Army!!!!
No more Bent starts is a good thing.
good news for tottenham, bad news for bent :S
i'm assured that defoe or pav will know how to take advantage of this situation, after all they aren't born yesterday either, so this so-called striker can warm the bench for a while, or even better for a long time, because this kind of laziness on the pitch surely isn't worth tottenham
until the summer, i would give him another chance after a few games on the bench, enough for him to prove his worth, he doesn't have to score every game but, PLEASE, be a part of the game or get out of tottenham!
It seems like there taking turns to get injured! lol.
Feel sorry for Bent but happy for myself as i dont have to watch him anymore. Defoe might be back and Pav so im more than happy with that.
bad news for bent good news for pav
Well, it was OBVIOUS he had really hurt himself at United & I am amazed he continued. I didn't imagine it was quite as serious as this tho & it is evident that, had we had just 1 other striker on the bench, Bent would have been subbed there & then. You have to wonder how much damage he did himself by staying on the pitch, altho he barely moved after hurting himself. I have to say that Bent's injury was 1 of the biggest reasons behind our defeat at OT than even the penalty award. Had we had just 1 striker up top running the channels (which Bent does quite well actually) then we might have actually cleared our lines & pushed United back a bit. As it was, a clearly crippled Bent (who as we now know had medial ligament knee damage) barely moved past the halfway line which just meant United could play at will within our half.
King and Bongani,

Will we stay or will we go now?

COYSAFOYS
I dont wish an inujry on the lad despite me not rating him in a Spurs shirt i think its a shame for his own future if it turns out to be serious.
F*ck Stratford!!!!
i hope defoe and pav will get there 5min of glory for rest of the season and that they take us to europe
Shame for the lad as that will probably mean his last game for the Yids will be a 2-5 spanking from Manc U.
Medial ligs are a good 2 months to mend so at least he'll have a nice summer off to recover.

Tottenham striker Darren Bent faces a spell on the sidelines with a knee injury.
Bent picked up a knee injury during last weekend's controversial 5-2 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Tests have now revealed Bent has sustained medial ligament damage, ruling him out for at least two weeks before the injury is assessed again by the medical team.
Scans
A club statement read: "Scans have revealed Darren Bent has suffered a medial ligament injury to his left knee.
"Benty picked up the injury in Saturday's match against Manchester United.
"The 25-year-old striker's knee will be in a brace for two weeks before being assessed again by specialists."
