all your previews of saturday's game v west brom at the lane
imo a potential banana skin, west brom hve virtually nothing to lose and seem all but doomed to relegation, spurs never seem to do well after a controversial incident (the penalty) 'arry needs to pick the boys up to finish the season on a high
my prediction: spurs 3-2 west brom
JD to score if playing (after his brothers death)
pav to net the second
lennon to round it off with a third
my team:
GK - Gomes
RB - Corluka
LB - Assou Ekotto
CB - King (C)
CB - Woodgate
RM - Lennon
LM - Modric
CM - Palacios
CM - Huddlestone
ST - Pavlyuchenko
ST - Defoe
Subs - Cudicini, Chimbonda, Hutton, Zokora, O'Hara, Bentley, Keane
Give keano a rest and let JD bang a couple in imo
( Click to show/hide )
So you gone for 2 rightbacks and no leftback on the bench what happens if Benny gets injured?
one of two things will happen on saturday....we will either still be shell shocked and feeling sorry for ourselves and make extremely hard work of it or we'll come out with a point to prove and give them a hammering and send them to the championship with there tails between there legs.......it had better be the second one!
im going for 3-0!

Oh - you want me to watch my mouth, how?
Take my ****in eyeballs out, and turn em around?
If they come out like a bunch of pussycats I will be masively pished off!!!
Nothing less than 3 points and a very decent hard working gutsy peformance.
i think we should have this one in the bag. although you can never tell. depends whos playing and i really hope defoe is out there. but with the family tragedy recently will be be there?
"It's about getting the best out of the lads and confidence. Life is about confidence. Whatever you do in life, if you are not confident you don't perform. It's up to me to get the confidence running through the players and if I can get that instilled you'll see a team that will really play." - Harry Redknapp - 29/10/2008
This should be easy enough. West Brom have the joint worst away record in the league (along with stoke). If we play well I don't see why we can't win (unless the bloody referee interfers). If we have a bad day a point is possible. We do need a win to keep are Europa League hopes up.
2-0 Spurs I think
COME ON YOU SPURS
west brom are made for us to batter them at home, we know they will try and play against us, put next to no pressure on the ball and their defence is blooming awful.
my team
gomes
hutton
king (if not fit charlie)
woody
BAE
lennon
palacios
hudd
modric
up front im not really sure depends on the fitness of pav and defoe, neither are likely to start in my opinion
Like the idea of giving Keane a rest.
I also think that if we can get an early lead, we should give Bentley a go. That would allow Lennon to rest up for a last push for Europe. Plus, I really want to see if Bentley can shake off his dust and show the 17m skill.
We all follow the Tottenham!
And in addition, I feel we win 2-0. One early in the game, and another right after the half to put the game away.
I feel the loss to ManU will actually fire the team up, as they dominated the first half of that game. Harry will have them back to that form, and hopefully not idiotic calls will break the rhythm.
We all follow the Tottenham!
4-0 Spurs. Like the idea of returning Bentley if possible, hope Pav is healthy as he could have happy hunting against their back four. Tons of space for Luka to play in, we just need to bury our chances and not do what we did against Newcastle.
you are right give keane a rest pav and defoe up front the team should be
gomes
hutton
woody
king (if fit)
chimbona
lennon

Good Afternoon, if Defoe is ready to play we need him and Robbie
starting, so Harry can get a look at them together, three points please.
Gomes, Corluka, Woodgate, King, BAE, Lennon,
Jenas, Palacios, Modric, Keane, Defoe...
just my own opinion so don't slam me for this....
Defoe and Keane.....don't see it working at all....
can see us being very disappointed by this....
