Jonathan Woodgate has admitted he is happy to focus on Tottenham at the present time and not dwell on his chances of earning an England recall.
The likes of Phil Jagielka and Joleon Lescott appear to have overtaken Woodgate in the England pecking order this season.
Woodgate has steered clear of injuries and been consistently impressive at the heart of the Spurs defence, but he insists he is not too concerned about his international future.
He is hoping to help his club enjoy a strong finish to the season and wants to play in the Europa League next term.
Asked if he was hopeful of an England recall, the 29-year-old said: "I'm not, really. It's just about the way I'm playing for Spurs. That's enough for me.
"I just want to win things. We know we have a good squad here. We are one point off seventh place and I fancy our chances of finishing there. We can do it."
Tottenham face defending Premier League champions Manchester United on Saturday but Woodgate is approaching the match in confident mood.
"We haven't been beaten by any of the top sides in the league this season and we have beaten Liverpool and Chelsea," he said.
"Our record against the top four is impeccable but United will put out a strong side and it will be very tough."
