Mexico has sacked its national football team coach Sven-Goran Eriksson - the former England boss - after only 10 months in the job.
Mexico Sacks Sven: Sven-Goran Eriksson Fired From National Football Coach Job | World News | Sky News
I no nearly the whole of Mexico didnt want him to be there manager, I dont think he got that many good results either. At least he get another big payout, He must be a very rich man by now.
He's got to be a shoe-in for the Newcastle job next season I reckon!
" 'triffick..." - Harry Redknapp
"Let's close our eyes and see what happens" - Jimmy Greaves
useless git.
He should go back to the Italian league. It seems to suit his style of play.
Supposed to be that he refused the Tottenham job in 1984 after Burkinshaw left. 0r maybe 1985.
I reckon that if we'd have got Sven in 1984/5 we would almost definitely have gone bankrupt in 1991. we probably also would never have had David Pleat's great team of 1986.
King and Bongani,
King and Bongani bong!!
(watch out here they come!)
Will we stay or will we go now?
Will we stay or will we go now?
If we go there will be trouble
and if we stay we'll do the double
So Levy has got let us know
Will we stay or will we go!
Rafael, Van Der Vaart
ƒuck Chelsea & Frank Lampard
with a nick-nack paddywhack he'll be getting goals
when Lampard's too fat & old
COYSAFOYS

sorry, but i love the fact that Mexico is doing so bad right now. being from the US, i cant stand that national team. haha!!! lost 3-1 to Honduras last night, and Wilson did well.
Yid Army!!!!
Terrible results from a guy who was a controversial hire to begin with. Mexican fans are pretty proud and insistent on having a Mexican manager, and they had some problems with some of his personnel decisions as well. In a lot of ways, he was to their national team what Juande was to Spurs, he just didn't seem to understand (or even try to understand) the whole culture of football down there...
Well I thought id throw in my opinion on this being from Mexico. I do not really blame Eriksson all that much I blame our federation and the players. The players chosen are not the best out there plenty more good players around I have no idea what his intentions were with the chosen players. Overall Mexican football is going through a big crisis the players get paid well so they don't try as hard and aren't pushed beyond their limits like they should be I think to make it into a national team roster you should push your body and mind until you cry in tears from the pain. But what happend here is that they are giving away national team spots like happy meals at mcdonalds cheap and easy. Until there are some SERIOUS changes made in Mexican football all together I would rather the national team not go to a world cup and work on these changes than to put the country in shame with a poor performance.
To Corey 504 the feeling is mutual I hate your national team to but I do have respect for a few of your players mainly Adu, Altidore, and Bradley see ya at the Azteca in August and may the best win.
I'm sure Sven is totally devasted!! ha ha ha "(Oh dear, where will my next meal come from, says Sven?)" or "who's the next sucker going to be, that will give me a contract"
im not surprised what did he do for england but just made a c--t of it

Cool to find that your a US fan who has a bit of respect {im not saying that all Mexican fans show respect:P}our sides seem to be at each others throats constantly jajaja!. Not to make any excuses but the last game we played our slected players were{except for gio and very few others} 100% pure grade A crap hopefully in august there will be a better slection so both sides will war it out in august. The last best game we had against you guys was last year when we tied 2-2 that was a war hopefully it repeats.

i was at that draw. that was such an intense game. it was in Texas, the ratio of Mexican fans to US was 20% US to 80% Mexican. i was not a happy person when they said Dempsey was offsides. it didnt look like it, but yeah that was one hell of a game.
but yeah, there are a very select small few players i have respect for on the Mexican side, but its just the rivalry. i am truly excited about the Azteca game, that is going to be a giant clash. its setting up for a hell of a game. it could be when ya'll break out of the slump your in or it could be the first time we beat ya'll at home. either way, its going to be a hell of a game man.
