Newcastle have just put the final nail in there relegation coffin!!!!! Alan shearer was a true legend! But being a manager is a different story, yes he'll have the players, fans and most of the nuturals behind him but that wont be enough to save them. If Shearer was playing then they would stay up, unfortunatley he's not. Alan curbishley isn't working at the moment why wasn't he given the job? Experience will be key, if Chris Hougton didn't have enough, at spurs for ten odd years never relegated, how is Alan shearer going to survive? Simple answer.....he's not. GO ON SPURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Players will be motivated for the last 8 games... Shearer doesn't really need to know what he's doing to get the players up. They have the skill, just don't ever show it. It will be a short honeymoon period... just see how long it lasts.
Ian Dowie as assistant boss......hahahahahahahahahahaha
Newcastle Utd are probably the most ridiculous club in the Premiership.

aparently they've spent 10 grand making all the doors wider at st james' to let shearers head fit through them , and dowies gone and smashed them all down
please let them get relegated. *prays to the heavens*
He'll keep them up. Win the first few games of next season and they'll think that their on course for the title. Go through a sticky patch which see's them in or around the relegation zone then Shearer will leave due to 'differences' with the board. New manager will be appointed.
Anyone else seeing a trend here?
There just a joke club, and I hope Shearer fails and sends them down to the Championship where they belong, then we will see the true face of their fans in regards to loyalty.

I actually like Newcastle. There fans are some of the mose dedicated in the league and i think they deserve a break.
HOWEVER i dont think they will stay up. Shearer is probably well aware of this.
Tottenham Hotspur - A Life Long Labour of Love.
Newcastle fans are a strange breed.
Shearer is not the second coming and he will severely struggle to keep them in the EPL. The squad they have is not strong enough or guttsy enough.
Geordies have this overwhelmingly blinkered opinion of the Toons that is laughable at times.
They say they are a massive club and one of the best supported teams in England. My question is who else do you support in Newcastle apart from them. They are the only bloody football team in the entire city, of course Geordies support them. Its like Spurs being the only team in London, we would have 3 times the support Newcastle have!
I heard Kinnear bad mouthing Spurs, saying Newcastle are a bigger club than Spurs when we tried to sign Shay Given in January, "Why would he leave Newcastle? we are a much bigger club than Spurs". Do me a favour! Newcastle havent won anything more than a Raffle in over 50 years!!!
They are a crap team with a big stadium that is filled with blinkered Geordies every week with 2 generations of supporters who have never seen Newcastle win a trophy. Wake Up and smell the relegation coffee!!!
Lets see if they still sell out their oversized stadium in the Championship next season, then we will see who is a big club.
I didnt mean this to sound like a rant but ever since Kinnear said that about Spurs i have been wishing for them to drop.

I don't think they'll go down. I didn't think they would have gone down whether Shearer would come or not. I think they only need 6 more points to save themselves & I can see them getting those in the next 8 easy. If they get anything from the next 3 then they will be fine.
As difficult a run in as they have there are at least 2 games I can't see them losing - Boro at Home & Pompey at home. In fact, I'm sure they'll get at least 4 points from those 2. That means they need to get 2 points somewhere from Stoke, Us & Fulham & if they can get anything from Chelsea, Liverpool or Aston Villa then they won't go down.
The Mackems are all laughing & taking the mick but it could easily turn around & bite them as if the Geordies don't go, imo, it will most likely be them.
However, I really don't get why he's appointed Ian Dowie. They looked like tweedle-dee & tweedle-dum at the press conference today. Since when does the number 2 do a press conference alongside the manager in this way? It hardly invokes confidence in Alan's ability as a manager. I get that he wants someone who knows management around him but as a No.2? It slightly undermines him from the get-go as you kind of know that most footballing decisions he makes will have been run past Dowie. Also, I know that he's worked Ian before & I get that Ian has experience of a relegation fight but Dowie's recent history is absolutely dire & if Alan listens too much to Dowie it might be the worst mistake he makes

BORO, MACKEMS, AND THE TOON TO DROP!!!
North East..........EPIC FAIL!!!
Surely Newcastle are he most ridiculous club in the premiership with some of the most misguided fans. I accept that we as a club haven't been exactly brilliant in the past few years when it comes to boardroom decisions but purleeze, what the bobbins is going on in the North East? Not since Bobby Robson have the geordies had anything like a decent manager. Kevin Keegan couldn't coach or manage either time he was there. Ruud Gullit was run out of town by the very man who's going to lead Newcastle back to the glory days, whenever that was! Shearer has no experience but a lot of love and passion for his boyhood club.....not really the perfect CV for a manager of a club that could well be relegated this season, especially a club that is apparently up for sale. The geordies and the club itself have this blinkered idea that any ex-player coming in is a saviour. A nonsense idea considering their current predicament. It's one of the most poorly run clubs in The Premiership and has been a rudderless, knackered old ship for years, long before Mike Ashley came on the scene. My question is, if Newcastle got relegated, would anybody actually miss them? Who's going to be they're next manager once Shearer fails, Tino Asprilla?

They are indeed the laughing stock of the prem, we take the piss every now and again but they are streets ahead in there ridiculous decisions!
Shearer may keep them up just becuse of the fresh manager injection that always happens when a guy takes over but its clear that if they hadnt taken this last throw of the dice then Hughton and Calderwood undoubtebly would havr taken them down without a fight!
Still think wel do em at the Lane Shearer or not!
F*ck Stratford!!!!
i think we can safely assume the baggies r down, and they deserve it with the way the english wenger has set them up to play, he is a stubborn old fool, and if west brom ever do want to make it in the prem, they'll need a new man.
boro will go down because gareth southgate wont get sacked.
toon/pompey/hull will be the other
IMO
as far them being a "joke club" - in fairness were hardly ones to talk considering the amount of money we've had available to us...
newcastle fans, i salute you.
For me it's the loyal fans having this daft idea that you have to have played at the club to really understand what Newcastle Utd are all about. How many times have we all heard about "New Messiahs" taking the club onwards and upwards? Mike Ashley (a yid!) sits in the stands and feels the wrath of the fans and bows down to what they want......getting rid of Allardyce and bringing back Keegan. A man who's been out of the game for years and works on the game plan of "if they score three make sure we score four". Keegan then walks out AGAIN to be replaced by Kinnear. A man who's been out of the game for years and has a serious heart problem. Now they've got Shearer in. A man who's been out of the game for years (MOTD doesn't count) and has been brought in because it's the fans choice. These are decisions that appear to have been made with the heart, not the head. A dreadful way to run a football club, especially one with such a huge fanbase as the toon.
