Guys, Jonathan Obika and Andros Townsend are woeful. Release them immediately. I will do you a favour and take them off your hands...

Seriously, another super show by the Spurs threesome at Huish Park. Obika nets his second and we move out of the bottom four :-)

Townsend and Obika are simply far too good for L1. Dont waste your cash on Stewart Downing, you have one coming through your ranks and he is currently terrorising full backs in League One.

Obika's strength and shooting are also a joy to behold.

To round off a fabulous evening, Danny Hutchins also had another blinder.

thats fantastic news, thanks for the update.. im really pleased these guys have gone out on loan, it will do their development no end of good. andros is a great prospect, hopefully he can turn out for spurs in years to come. obika is definately looking like a prolific goalscorer, certainly at youth level - hopefully he can translate that into mens football with you guys.

all that said, i think they would both benefit from possibly another half season or so in the championship next season, just to try and minimise the gulf in class to the premiership that little bit more.

like i say, thanks for the update and i hope these lads continue to turn in good performances for you and keep you up

Yeah, I followed the game yesterday & it was a tight fought affair. Brilliant when Jon nicked it in the 80th minute but Northampton hit the post & then were somehow kept out by Yeovil's goalie straight after. Yeovil deserved it but it could easily have gone either way. The Spurs boys weren't the only heroes tho. Special mention has to go to your keeper Chris Weale for some great saves between the sticks. However, the whole team did very well. When you think that they were beaten 4-0 and then 5-0 in a relegation 6 pointer but since then the 3 Spurs boys arrived & Yeovil have kept 3 clean sheets & taken 7 points! Not bad, but the whole team ought to take credit really, although its great to see the boys settle into a 'team' so quickly & show that the can be a part of something. Its all very well being a great player or a class above but it means nothing if you cannot muck in & play as a team.

EDIT: I just watched Obika's goal on SSN. What a finish!!! It was a neat little thru ball but Obika was slightly awkward in his body shape. He had to almost flick/poke it with the outside of his boot which he did with aplomb. A real striker's finish.

Thanks for the update Yeovil fan. They are really excelling at that level which is great to hear. Harry has done a good job loaning them out to the right club. I think they might well feature next season for spurs, maybe in a cup.

Its great to see a couple of good youngsters come through the ranks at Spurs. We need another prodigy or 2 especially when Downing is qouted at being worth an extortionate £15M. Looks as though we may have a couple of starlets ands whats even sweeter is they didnt cost a penny.

      Cheers Yoevil.

P.s, if you stay up will you all be closet Spurs fans from now on? lol.

great news about obika, hutchins and townsend i reckon obika and townsend could play for the first team next year and it would be so much better than spending 15 million on a downing or someone who most probably wouldnt settle in the capital.

cheers yeovil fan hopefully they can keep you up

I reckon it'll be more like 2 years. Andros is still very young, but we'll see.
