Do you think Setanta should be taken off air forever???
I wont be able to watch my National side play today because i dont subscribe to Setanta and my local pub cant afford to pay £800 per month for the privilage either.
I am getting annoyed with the monopoly Setanta hold over England fans in regards to the friendly games they have managed to hijack and show on their irritating channel.
I wanted to spend the afternoon in the pub with my mates and watch England smash Slovakia but i cant do that because the money grabbing fat cats behind the televising of football have sold the rights to all of Englands friendlies to Setanta. I will have to sit infront of my PC this afternoon and watch it on there instead.
Granted its only a friendly but surely i have the right to watch my national side play a game of football without having to pay for it like i do for Spurs.
I want to see Setanta taken off air at the end of the season and to never come back. Its a massive money making scam preying on the already over charged football fans with a genuine love for the game.

It's an absolute disgrace that England fans cannot watch our National team on tv, without paying an Irish company money. No offence to our Irish Yids, could be any foreign tv station.
I'm sure it wouldn't happen in Italy, Spain, France etc.
How can we put pressure on the FA and Government to get this disgraceful situation changed ASAP?
Until then I will have to find a link on my laptop.

I think its a national disgrace that the BBC or ITV havn't been given the rights to all England games. I no it goes to the highest bidder but i dont think the F.A should be making money out of it. Not by TV rights anyway.
Everyone should be given the oppertunity to watch England no matter how financially capable you are. If you cant afford Senanta or Sky its not your fault. The goverment should make a law that all England games should be terestrial television. Its a disgrace!
these same arguements were pointed at sky when it first came out so i think its abit unfair.although the national broadcaster should be showing the national team thats a fact.sky have the rights for the irish games but its only the rights for countries outside ireland,rte the national broadcaster here shows all the games.i blame the bbc they should have made it their main sports target for the year,anyway i think sky have outbid setanta for the prem and internationals form next season
im at work, gutted, so its gonna have to be the re-run at 10 on itv for me lads. and i hate setanta with a vengance, rubbish commentary. punditrys poor too, money machine (sorry les)
sorry lads to rub it in but when you buy cable tv{pipe tv} here you get setannta ireland free this the basic setannta channel and england is on it today,which is stupid because onone over here will be watching it ffs.

I pay to have Sky Sports channels (I always have) but i dont see why i should have to pay an extra £10 per month to watch a sh!tty setanta channel on top of £45 per month for Sky and £10 per month for TV liscensing to catch the games i want to watch. That would be £65 per month just to watch TV!!! Its getting ridiculous.
I know we have to pay to watch live games (Sky for instance) but i dont see why i should have to pay to watch My Country play football. No other country in the world has this problem, we are over taxed, under paid and now under valued as English fans. Its a complete farce.
even the mighty northern ireland are on sky today...it is strange how the majority of england fans will miss out because of setanta....if im not mistaken tho they have lost a lot of the fotty rights for next season and have had there premier league matches cut away down cause sky outbid them...not sure if it will affect internationals tho!

setanta is very expensive, £12.99 a month works out as alot.

setanta is a rip off,i live in scotland and miss watching my national team play also,give the right back to bbc1..ive had problems since i got setanta,all i get told is its miss alignmemnt of the dish...what a load of tosh evey other channel works fine just setwnka that dont.
Yeah I agree i hated Setanta when they anounced not only Prem coverage but the England games too!
However im more pissed off with BBC ITV and Sky specialy them, they could have easily won the the international package and i feel ripped off at having to pay over 50 quid and not being able to watch my national team, i dont think Setanta will ever really take off like Betamax ect
Anyone noticed how basic and budget their coverage is aswell as there sports news channel is?
