If Spurs played 5-a-side what would our team be?

      I reckon:

      -----------Gomes----------
      ----Woodgate-- King------
      -------Modric---------------
      --------------Keane--------
      King and Bongani,
      King and Bongani bong!!
      (watch out here they come!)

Will we stay or will we go now?
Will we stay or will we go now?
If we go there will be trouble
and if we stay we'll do the double
So Levy has got let us know
Will we stay or will we go!

      Rafael, Van Der Vaart
      ƒuck Chelsea & Frank Lampard
with a nick-nack paddywhack he'll be getting goals
when Lampard's too fat & old

I don't think Dawson or Woodgate's style are suited to 5 a side

I don't think Lennon is suited to 5 a side as there is not enough ground for him to use his pace. I'd say it's more suited to players who can read the game well and who have good control of the ball. I also don't think kings knee would be up to 5 a side as it's non stop action.

I thought the same thing about Lennon. 5-a-side is much more about quick feet & fast passing than it is about flat out sprinting. That's why I selected Modric & Keane as I thought they'd be perfect. However, its a matter of opinion whether you go with 2 defenders or 1 & have an extra attacking player. I went with 2, but with the thought that King could push up when he wants. I disagree that his knee would be a problem. Unless running on the hard surfaces would be an issue, the lack of proper tackling plus the smaller pitch sizes I figured he'd be fine. However, it is a toss up between Woodgate & Charlie. Perhaps Charlie would be the better option for 5-a-side.

Lets go with Modric, Keane, Lennon, Palacious and Gomes. Wilson could do all the tackling while the rest go to town on the opp. We are Tottenham after all, lets not bother with defenders.

I used to play five- a-side twice a week mate so usual football was a breeze in comparison and i'm tellin you now , it is ( enter any swearword you like ) quick = you cannot guard both sides of the pitch , no matter who you are , i know this is for fun but not protecting the goal is a joke . Thats why defenders have started to cost as much as strikers now - was i ranting - ok then rant over .

      ---cudacini---
      -woody --- king-
      ----modric----
      ----keane----

cuda in goal as i think hes a better shot stopper. one of gomes' best ability is his long range distrobution which is redundant in 5 a side
woody and king are a great centre back pair in any game
modric is a good passer and can run with the ball
keane is a natural goal scorer and ideal for something like this.

if we had 2 subs, lennon and defoe. both good at running at people and passing.

      great thread

      Gomes in the sticks
Woodgate controlling the back on his own with Palacious running ragged infront of him, dropping back when defending, pushing up when attacking.
Modric creating the magic in the middle.
Defoe causing the nusance upfront (have you guys forgot he's a spurs player already?!!)
