Tottenham Hotspur will visit Singapore & Vietnam after the end of this season in May. The are currently set to play 2 games, 1 in Hanpi & 1 in Singapore, & most of our stars are set to make the trip.
It is being organised by Sports marketing Company The Red Card & their Director, Mr. Sasikumar, said:
"At least 90 per cent of the team has to play, including the usual suspects. That's a contractual obligation.Of course, with injuries and all that, no one can predict such things, but otherwise, they'll come out with their full team. We're looking for at least 30,000 to 35,000 fans turning up, so at the moment, I think there's only one stadium that is available, and the National Stadium is it."
If you ask me this is exactly the sort of place that Tottenham ought to be marketing & expanding into. They are HUGELY into Premiership football but the area is currently only really exploited by the big 4 clubs. This Spurs trip should really do a lot for us.
King and Bongani,
King and Bongani bong!!
(watch out here they come!)
Will we stay or will we go now?
Will we stay or will we go now?
If we go there will be trouble
and if we stay we'll do the double
So Levy has got let us know
Will we stay or will we go!
Rafael, Van Der Vaart

when Lampard's too fat & old

This business side of the football is depressing. You have to track all to far flung corners of the world so that people who never heard of you will start buying your shirts and come to your home ground to sit and take pictures. Football has lost something.
In a way Damo, I get your point but if you lived in Vietnam & loved football you'd probably see it very differently. The money gives people all across the world the chance to see their heroes play where they otherwise would not be able to & it is also brilliant for the club.
Countries like Vietnam, China, etc, are potential goldmines & if we can get a foothold in such places it will mean that we can continue to attract & afford the sort of players that we all want to see at WHL.
You say football has lost something &, in a way, I'm inclined to agree but it has also gained a helluva lot more besides.

all part and parcel of playing in the greatest football league in the world ,as we are a club who up until a couple of weeks ago did not even know we would be playing premiership football football next season .
we need to take advantage of every opportunity our status affords !!!
