lawrenson (the hateful p***k) last night mentioned something intersting.
he reckoned burnley were trying too hard in the added time and pushing up too hard.
the question is when they were playing did they know that the score at 4-4 was enough to put them through?
were they trying too hard for a goal and left themselves open for spurs to come back and score and win the place at wembley?
just thought his idea had some possibility.
another way to see just how lucky we were last night and burnley's fitness levels and inexperience and not spurs quality saw us win through
They must have known. I was in the cinema when the game was going on and checking text updates. I assumed that Burnley would have 11 men behind the ball in the 2nd part of extra time as all they needed to do was see the game out.
