How I feel today?… The increasingly fickle Spurs fan, who is experiencing every possible emotion during this football season, often in one day - from the highs of preseason, to the lows of preseason selling, to the even lower early season, the highs of seeing Harry in a Spurs badge and fighting back against the Arsenal to the lows of an awful Christmas period suddenly feels good again.
This happiness I have today, the optimism, might just be another false dawn or it could be how it actually feels, a real and lasting sense of well being that could live for more than a few matches.
It might be so that, come the end of Feb, we could be back in the middle of the table, with a trip to Wembley booked for the second year in a row and sitting with a squad of players the manager feels reflect his style of football. We may even have resolved most of the ridiculous things that have happened at the Lane this season, and got rid of some of the players that have never been able to find there way at Spurs.
By mid march when we're on our way to a tough game at Villa Park relegation worries should be a thing of the past, and that familiar feeling of mid-table boredom could be slipping back in.
The Premiere schedule has ensured that in our recent future we get to take points away from 3/4 fellow strugglers, face the Arsenal at home, a game we are always up for and that rarely follows the form book and settle in a squad featuring a few choice signings.
If Harry gets just a little bit more success in the transfer market this coming week, we could be entering the next period of the Prem with a balanced side that will firstly cover our short comings and secondly allow our strengths to work for us and not against us.
January still has 6 (supposedly) easy points for us to pick up, Feb hold a further 6, and in March when things get a little harder, confidence and league position could allow us to play with assurance and belief.
Depending on who we sign, how they settle and whether the three fellow strugglers can fall apart, March could see us mid-table with some obvious relegation candidates below us, slowly creating a definite points gap.
This is the business end of the season, and the schedule is good to us, we have a chance to build confidence with new faces in place, a semi final win, and come March, 9-12 more Premiere league points banked.

I cant share your enthusiasm just yet , but Palacios could just be the player that will allow Modric to get a bit more forward where he can create chances and steer the game better . It all depends on how quickly he gel's into the team .
I'm still looking out for the signing that will really make me smile, a left sided midfielder. Until we sign someone for this problem spot in our squad I feel we are a little too predictable up front. Palacios and Cudicini are the standard of signings we are all looking for. Lets get Appiah in, find a lefty, and I'll be much more optimistic!
