Harry Redknapp will be without a number of regulars through injury for Wednesday night's Carling Cup semi-final, second leg at Burnley.
Ledley King (hamstring), Heurelho Gomes (thigh), Vedran Corluka (thigh), Aaron Lennon (groin) and Jermaine Jenas (calf) are all sidelined as we defend a 4-1 lead from the first leg at Turf Moor.
Better news sees striker Roman Pavlyuchenko expected to be fit after picking up ankle injury against Portsmouth on Sunday and left-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto is available after suspension.
Harry revealed at this afternoon's pre-Burnley press briefing that Ben Alnwick will start in goal - it will be his debut - and David Bentley will be back on the right side of midfield.
"We've got one or two good players out through injury but we'll still have a strong team out," insisted Harry.

I know Harry wants to rest players but Burnley should not be underestimated at home.
With Corluka rested that means Zokora will be RB with Woody and Daws CB's and Bale LB.
Bentley RW Modric and JJ CM with Gio out left?
Pav and Defoe Up top.
Thats my Guess.

I'm going to go with:
Alnwick
Zokora Daws Woody Bale
Bentley Hudd Modric O'Hara
Pav Defoe
Although i do hope it isn't as obvious as this, i'd really like to see some other players get a chance.
If Derby defends the drawn tonight we can early celebrate the Carling Cup victory![]()
hehe lets not get too head of ourselves.
I would hope harry would play Bostock and Gio tonight as i think they deserve a run. Especially Gio.. he was awesome in pre season.
Tottenham Hotspur - A Life Long Labour of Love.
I'm more nervous about the Derby match tonight than our one on Wednesday.
COME ON YOU RAMS!
alnwick
zokora woody daws bale/bae
tarrabt hudd mod bostock
gio
defoe/pav
Agreed Nick, would like to see him out on the left. Bostock on bench i reckon.
I would love it if Derby do the Manure, my mates a Derby fan, he seems supremeley confident they will win. Mind you he was predicting they would get UEFA cup football last season too
P.S we are on tomorrow night mate![]()

i really hope man u go through tonight.... a man u spurs final is one i have wanted for years! and considering united will field a weakened team we will have every chance of taking them on the day! we all know this season we play better against the big clubs!
would be great day out at the pub surrounded by man u fans wen pav sinks the winner!
cant see it mate he has bigger fish to fry he wont risk injuries....and if he does then we'll sweep the floor with there first team the way we did with the chelsea scum last year!
gotta wrap up burnley first tho!
it will be good to see alnwick for his debut, would like to see bostock, gio and hudd has got to start with modric in the middle
They will play a strong side if they get to the final. I am 100% convinced of that.
We should not worry about the Burnley game and we should be resting as many first teamers as possible as our priority is the league game against Stoke.
Agreed that this is our best opportunity to get into Europe again but it should not be at the expense of our status as a premier league club.
So in summary. We play all the kids and still get a result!!!
Appy days.
lets not forget we are playing a bloody good side at a ground where it will be pretty intimidating, i agree we should slip some kids in there but the spine must remain - dawson - modric - defoe plus a few other first teamers
the weaker our team is the more of a boost it will be to burnley wen they see the team sheet.....id rather see a decent team out there and hopefully wrap it up with a couple o early goals then take off our main men! play the kids against man u on sat give them a baptism of fire!
