Why are we paying Cesar a wage

Im sure Cesarrrrrrh is getting a pretty tidy bundle for dressing up twice a week in his goal keeper out fit, only to sit down for 90mins.....

But if nothing less than Gomez dropping down dead or combusting into a cloud of smoke means he would get a game..... why don't we do a "terminated by mutual consent" on him.

It's just another one of those strange "planet spurs" or "planet Levy" things are don't understand. How bad is this guy that
a) when gomezzz was awful he didnt get a game
b) now gomezzz is ok, but badly broken he still can't get a game

Can anyone give me a worth while point of few on our number 2 keeper. . .

Can't work that one out either mate. We play a keeper who can't kick the ball out, what's going on! Fair play to Gomes for standing up to be counted at this dodgey time but surely Cesar can't be that bad can he? If he is, like you say, get rid!

You can't get rid of your backup keeper! Regardless of what is happening to Gomes, what happens when he gets injured?

I always say every team needs 3 keepers, if one gets injured, then you have 2nd keeper out on the pitch and one on the bench if anything low key happens.

In fairness, our Keeper is injured. I think he would have to die before Harry would play Cesar. I agree though and we clearly need a decent back up keeper sooner rather than later.

I really do hate the way you think Levy is one of the worst chairmans when you say "planet Levy".. he was following what crap Comolli ever said to him about Cesar and suggesting him to come to Spurs.

Its bloody well Gomes not Gomez the dam striker at Stuttgart. GomeS is not just ok, he has turned around things and is great. A true player. Did any of our goalkeepers in the past play even though WE were giving him stick, play whenever he is injured and give it all for the team.

Good point this one, as i sat watchinh monkey boy take the goal kicks for Gomes on sunday it angered me that Harry clearly doesnt have the confidence in Ceasar salad or he would play him as Gomes is crocked!
Theres far too many things going at Spurs that arent getting answered, time to be counted now Harry.

Exactly, if comedy-comolli is the root of all evil (as we all seem to ageree) – the director of football role and the person in the job was one of Levys long standing decisions despite, everyone connected to the club, from Jol and on was against it and Levy stood his ground until HARRY (not Levy) changed it.. Levy has to stand the criticism of the decisions he makes. And as a fan, it’s ok to see the bad and the good. To do his job Levy needs to be good at 2 things, business and football. For my money he only knows the business side of it and not his product. He needs to raise his game. I have never called for him to be fired, I just think he needs to take on most of the blame for where we are right now and up his game.
2. My post was about Cesar not Gomezzz. And IMHO Gomez has only turned himself around a little and still has some way to go before he justifies a regular place. Its still a bit shaky back there, he’s still coming out and flapping. And that back pass travesty a few games back was a joke and he played a part in it. He has to keep it up for a few more games before I will be a full believer. But granted he’s playing whilst injured and that gets points with me – but I question why he has to.

I think he's shot stopping abilities are whats keeping us where we are . Most goalkeepers know how to narrow the angles and come for the ball , but reaction saves make the difference and you cant teach that .
