Tottenham V Portsmouth Match Thread

Good Morning, Harry's former club Portsmouth visit The Lane tomorrow
in what looks to be a very interesting game. All eyes will be on our
supporters, following the charging of fans this week, for events at
Fratton Park. The match starts at 4pm, and is live on Sky here in the UK.
WBA, and Blackburn play at home today against Middlesbrough and Newcastle,
if results go badly, we could be bottom of the table by tonight.
A win against Pompey would take us above Adams' team on GD.
Team News, Hutton is out, Jenas a doubt with a calf strain, and BAE is
still suspended. Portsmouth look to have a full squad to pick from with
Nugent and Davis returning.
Not sure how we will line up, would imagine Ledley will play as we do not
have another Premier League fixture until January 27th home to Stoke.
Defoe and Pav to start?
We need a win tomorrow simple as that.

I think a win is a must now , as we are fast becoming relegation material . i dont want to go to the stoke game being bottom , and then bolton away after that . these are three games that will test us to the full . We will know after tomorrows game what charachter there is in the team .

Gotta go Ledders at CB with Woody, King Played well against Wigan in the middle but we looked far too defensive. Id like to see plenty of attacking football in the middle of the park tomorrow. Lennon RW, Ohara LW, Hudd DM (links up play much better than Zokora), Luka AM and Defoe and Pav up top.
We will probably play 1-2-3-1-2-1 if last week was anything to go by though

A draw is a crap result if that happens we have to win its crunch time now, home games are 3 pointers from now on they just have to be!
Dawson should be dropped despite the lads improvement we need King and Woody in the centre with Pav and Defoe upfront.
I predict some action in the South Stand and a Spurs 3-2 win.

If the players can't get motivated under harry for this match, they never will.

I realy do fancy us for a win, home form isn't that bad, probably be another one where we play like zombies on valium for first half, then harry gives them a bollocking, and we sort it out 2nd half and win.

u gotta remember tho that west brom were playing boro and blackburn beat newcastle....all four teams in these games are in and around us fighting for our lives so all we can do now is take advantage and take 3 points tommorrow...

the points otherwise we will get cut adrift at the bottom.
We have Stoke after tomorrow, so six points from two
home games would really ease the pressure.
We have to do what we have not done lately, that is actually
secure the points...

exactly mate i mean how many times have we said this season that if we win this game and that game we will be ok....well its time for the ifs and buts to stop and for us to actually start winning some games.....anyone who thinks we are guaranteed 3 points tommorrow is in for a big shock it will be a hard fought game and the stoke one will i belive be even harder!
