Lets be honest this transfer window has become a bit of a farce in regards to who we want.
If i had a pound for everytime Arry said "The Chairman is handling negotiations" i would be a rich man.
Downing, Heskey, Jones, Bellamy, Johnson, Warnock, Finnan, Adriano, Crespo, Palacios, Podolski, Upson, Chimbonda..... its getting ridiculous.
None of those players would have got into our team a year ago!
WTF is going on!!!

I hope we make it to the summer with our Prem status intact so that Arry can do what a real manager should do, and build a strong team that can challenge for honours, because the team we have now is CRAP!

i disagree. Palacios would get into any team, especially ours which lacks a solid midfielder. Apparently the Crespo rumours weren't true but I do agree with yu over Adriano.

As far as Chimbonda goes, well, he WAS in our 1st team a year ago!!!

Warnock would also easily have made the 1st XI as we've not had a decent LB for a while. I kind of get what you're saying but I'm not convinced its entirely true!

Sorry to inform you mate but our team has been destroyed over the last year/18 months.

In addition to this two important factors have changed that were our saving grace for a few seasons. Those factors are Keano and Berbatov.

They managed to score more goals between them than any other strike partnership in the league and saved our arses in around 50% of the games we/they played in.

Without them in the equation we are what you basically see now.

Exactly P-Unit. Selling 46 goals for £50m+ is good business as long as you invest wisely. Spurs should have sold Sulkatov months earlier giving us the collateral to buy big earlier, so as to let the team gel.
We sold good squad players with out replacing them. Bought average players to replace world class forwards. We are relying on Bent to score 25 goals a season, thats like asking McDonalds to look after your cow, its a very bad idea!

You get my point though. We are bidding silly money for average players.
I really dont know about Palacios mate, it seems that we are paying an awful lot of money for a player who has 6 months of top flight football behind him. He is having a great season dont get me wrong but is he really worth £14m? IMO no.

If we do sign him i pray that he proves me wrong and i give you permission to rub it in and post plenty of i told you so's guys but im not counting my chickens just yet.

I think alot of the links are paper crap anyway so get excited about linked with crap is a tad hysterical mate.
Downing,Upson,Podolski and Palicios would all improve the team its not like the current crop are tearing up trees is it.
In the summer will be the time to get propper quality in but we have to act now to stay up.

Didnt mean to sound a tad hysterical , but this team we have now is alot weaker compared to the team we had 18 months ago. We could have done something about it sooner, thats what grates me.
Spurs should have done something about it in the summer but we didnt. It just seems to be the same old story, "we'll make do with what weve got", now its come back and bitten us in the a**e.
We all know that January costs more to sign players and now other clubs are cashing in on our mistakes. I just hope it never happens again because this is unbearable.

I 100% beleive were in such a bad position is all down to the sale of Keane and Berbatov simple as that, you take the goals out and replace with substandard crap then were always going to struggle.
The money should have been invested in Arshavin to play with Pava ect but instead we got effing Campbell and stuck with Bent so go figure.
Were always going to let goals in but we always had a chance of out scorring the opposition, today we dont have a chance without the two best strikers weve had for a long time.
