I hope we stuff the Scum in Feb, but here are the matches that will change our season. Each one a real 6 pointer.
18th Jan - home* Pompey
27th JAn - home Stoke
1st Mch - away Sunderland
4th Mch - away Blackburn
02 May - home* WBA
18 Apr - home Newcastle
We have to beat and score goals against fellow strugglers. Faliure to take 3 points away from these games will put us in the sh1t...
The last 3 Prem games of the season are Everton, Man City (with KAka and co??) and Liverpool. I know we play better against these "football" teams but I dont want to go into these games needing 9 or even 6 points to stay up.
AWAY support, the lads that travel midweek deserve VIP reatment from our club, as they could make all the difference.

these should be the games we will take something out of !!! but judging by the rest of the season i am not that hopeful ..... for the first time ever i am actually contemplating tottenham being relegated . ( not a nice place ) .
it really is so frustrating to see our players not able to show some character, and fight for their shirt .
"The great fallacy is that the game is first and foremost about winning. It's nothing of the kind. The game is about glory. It's about doing things in style, with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom."

Pompey on Sunday is at home.
Don't fancy our chances of picking up points in any away games. Maybe a point from each?
As for Newcastle..... I count nothing from that game. Our record against them is awful.
Now the most important is Pompey...step by step
WBA is at home
Yep we always get rolled by the barcodes which is embaressing as they're dog poo.
have to agree with bazza if this season has thought us anything its that we dont well against the lower teams it seems we can match anyone that comes to play football but if they divert from that in anyway we just breakdown get outfought overrun and beaten late in games which is something i cant ever remember spurs doing in a long time its a very worrying time and pompey are a big strong team but were at home so im more optimiztic for sunday but still nervous if im honest
3 Points against the Pikies of Portsmouth is a must now, we have 16 games or so left and theres not a hope in hell we can pull away so a relegation scrap it is.
How many who are sane beleive we have scrappers in the team/squad to fight for the shirt? Im not so sure we have.
Forget points away from home we are just rubbish so WHL will have to be our fortress starting this Sunday.
F*ck Stratford!!!!
Im going to my first match in a few years on the 27th Jan, Stoke at home, another big game, lets hope the boys put on a show for me!!!
In a world full of City's and United's...there is only one Hotspur
Pompey is mega!! I'm going but doubt i'll be able to watch - if we dont win we may have to do a Fulham - last game of the season and all that !! GULP !
Its hard to see where any points are coming from![]()
is defoe playing against pompey? or did they have a clause in his contract that he's not aloud to play against them??
'It's like a toaster, the ref's shirt pocket. Every time there's a tackle, up pops a yellow card.'
We bought him fair and square so no clauses - only for loan players mate!
Lets hope and pray he does the business![]()
he did do the business, just a shame bent didn't. It will be interesting to see if BEnt can bounce back, if harry gives him the chance, if/when Pav can come back, if campbell will get the nod. GDS might also be match ready this month.
I reckon we have seen the last of Bent in the starting 11, I also think he may not even be on as a sub unless we get more injuries.
Bent hasn't single handedly created this relegation battle, and I think the guy has put the work in, just dont think he has the stones to be a number one striker in a relegation battle.
Defeo looked OK, but he's not enough, and we need someone of real quality and hard work alongside him.
