Dont take this the wrong way, i love football, its the best sport in the world.. Only football (socceroos and the mighty spurs) could see me stay up till 4am just to watch them play!! BUT.......
I was catching up on all the latest footy news around then world when i read this SBS The World Game - Man City make $200m Kaka bid (thats 200mil australian dollars) Man city making a 100pound bid for 'Kaka'.. Now believeing that this is only a rumor, ok.. but to think that in this world we can spend 100mil on a player to wear a top, is so crazy it just makes u feel sick and sad..
Just think what that type of money could do ANYWHERE that needs help.. 3rd world countries, youth assistance, homless care, hospital care etc, etc..
Granted FIFA does huge amounts of helping work for people around the world, and they could only do so by the money that is made from footy i can see why it can be good that there is A LOT of money around the industry, but when u know its just some rich guy from Dubai, who has way too much money and all he is just doing this as his new favourite pet (man city), that just sucks.. And you may say that i wouldnt be complaining if this was at spurs, but i kno deep down it really would not sit well with me.. Its just sad, but what can you do..
Just think.. cmon you spurs..

Money rules the world
It`s being reported he`d get half a million a week in wagesi thought there was a global financial meltdown ?
Just think what 200 million pounds could do for some 3rd world countries, it could build houses, clean water for them to drink, education and keep them clear from diseases. Its actually ridiculous and I wouldn't be surprised if FIFA doesn't let this go through, because its absolute wordless how wrong this is!
Its getting out of hand, just remember in the 90's when a really good player only costed around 500 odd thousand but oh now, now 900 thousand pounds would buy you half a player from Sheffield United.
Wow. I just read about this on sky sports.
Is Kaka really worth that much money?!? Is anyone!?
Money is ruining the premier league.
Tottenham Hotspur - A Life Long Labour of Love.
No player is worth that much money . A players worth is not what the player thinks he's worth ,or what his agent thinks he's worth , it all boils down to how much a club will pay for his services . But you will see the same thing at Man City as you seeing now at Chelski , as soon as this new rich kid on the block gets bored with his new little toy , he will close the cheque book . This will only happen after he has tasted success so it will be a few years yet .
As far as third world countries are concerned , now if you dont like the truth then stop reading "NOW"
Ok , i see you want to know . Now i've no doubt that you've heard the saying charity begins at home , but nobody seems to understand exactly what it implies . I do , and i'm gonna explain as best i can so you understand exactly how you stand . But everyones heard of the credit crunch .
Now our national debt is currently at £3 trillion pounds , this means that each and every person in this country owes approx £36,000 pounds . thats without what you pay or have paid out on your own personal finances. This will get get passed down the generations , as it already has been until now .
Now your always going to get these " do gooders " who highlight troubled areas in the world , and once one problem has been sorted out , they will go scouting to find more problems , such is the nature of their jobs . But when i was young these problems that are broadcast on the day that they happen would not have been heard of for 3 or 4 weeks because thats how long it would take for the news to filter through . Thats how much technology has moved forward . I myself am now learning how to use computers - as i've been a builder for 30 years and they were not a requirement , i remember when the first battery drills came out , you could go and buy a good second hand car for the same money , it was the same with mobile phones .
Now to the point . After the world cup a young Michael Owen was asked what it was like to be worth £50 million . His reply was " I'M NOT WORTH £50 MILLION - I'M ONLY WORTH WHAT SOMEONE IS PREPARED TO PAY FOR ME " . Therein lies the truth - but wise words from a very young player . But if they are gonna pay it , then let them pay it . Look at the past fee's that have been paid and they have all caused uproar for a few days only to go-ahead anyway . Beckam , Zidane Ronaldo , just to name a few , have caused the same headlines in the past . The deal equates to 500,000 a week , and as i warned everybody before the window opened , this guy will stop at nothing to get what he wants . The golden rule is " The one who has the money makes the rules " . This guy has a car thats worth more than most of our houses . So anybody trying to stop this steamroller will just get flattened , all we can hope for is that he buys all of our crap players for 3 x there value . You see it starts to sound nice if it gets you what you want .
Its an embarrassment to football. Never mind the transfer fee - whether its £91m or £100m, the rumoured wages (which themselves range from £250k to £500k per week) are, and I use the word with care - disgusting.
£13m per year (at £250k per week) before any bonuses and endorsements? Nobody, and I mean nobody, could justify that figure to me.
There is only one way out of this. Bankruptcy. The sooner it comes to some of the nouveau riche the better. This is not the real world. Its absurd.
The problem is that there are individuals in the world that do have ridiculous amounts of money, but however they got the money, it is legally theirs. Therefore it is up to them how they spend it. If they choose to use football as a little hobby/plaything then they will. Chances are that if they never spent it on football it would go on something else, it is very unlikely to go on third world countries. Rightly or wrongly that is the way of the world.
Funnily enough, I was thinking that the other week regarding Berbatov. 30 mil pounds was around $54 mil Australian dollars at the time.
$54,000,000 to see someone who happens to be good at kicking a round ball. Its just stupid.
I see the latest news is that £91m is allegedly to take Kaka, Gattuso (the Unit will be pleased), and Dida.
