He was so poor tonight, AGAIN. Sorry, but how many chances do you get to impress at a new club? Pavs starting to come into his own now, and hes come from a different bloody country and has been playing for 18 months straight, as has modric, so whats up with this pieboy?
Well, hes not being played in position, and obviously cant play on the left and is not even willing to try, did you see the first goal? yeh, he looks like a real ****in spurs fan dont he... weve got two of englands brightest young RMs in our first team and someone has to work out whos going because we dont need one of them.
For me, lennons been good recently, and he gives 100% even when hes not playing well. They both frustrate me as much as eachother at times. Bentley hasnt been given a run in his favoured position yet, so im thinkin arrys made up his mind.. to be honest, one has to go, either now or in the summer, and bentleys not done himself any favours in my eyes tonight.
Get off the lads back. He'll come good in time. The longer he is ****ged off, the longer he'll take to come through.
Look at Adams for the gooners. For years we were calling him a Cart Horse and shouting Hee Haw. Unfortunately, eventually he came good.
Bentley will come good.
How much are we going to lose on him?!? Mind you! if hasn't got the Cockeral going through him he can FO. At any price!
nobodys been on his back. its not like large sections of his own fans have been booing him, if he played like he did tonight in an arsenal shirt they very well might be! im not saying thats right but im just pointing that out. if he were playing like he is at other clubs he might have been written off.
im not even saying he wont come good, but the fact is we dont need him AND lennon
i dont like Bentley but he wasnt that bad he just needs
one big problem why i dont like him is that every time he gets the ball on side he immediately kicks it in the box..match before this he had at least 15 crosses in the box mostly with no idea whos he aiming to,hes just not looking where the players are...thats his biggest problem from my look on his game...
chris eagles was better than bentley, i cant understand what is with him, maybe he will come good, he could do with taking a leaf out of jamie o'hara's book and start playing with passion, he was shat again tonight, he was knocking on the england door last year how come he cant repeat that type of form, hopefully harry will bring the best out of him?
maybe his price tag has screwed him, lets be honest he's a bit of a poser at the best of times , and now the price tag, plus over expectancy because he's a yid ,,
but in the long run we will need 2 quality players for each position especially will the cup runs,, i think he needs to warm the bench for a bit, we can't keep justifying playing him or lennon out of position on the left ,, i would prefer to see o'hara getting a good run there,,
i agree stick fatty on the bench for now, if aaron stops performing we can give bentley a run in his position and vice versa. if he hasnt improved by the summer, cut our losses with mug city and find a better RM for less money
I think that player's position are not as important as fans make it be. Messi is left footed but plays on the right? Kranjcar is right footed and not even a winger, yet plays well on the left side. In todays football, positions are very fluid. Against wigan, Bentley played on the right, but was poor. Against arsenal too (bar goal), against Bolton he had at best a decent game (and an assist).
It's his lack of intelligence and bad attitude that make him suck so bad. As Dinamo Zg pointed out, whenever he gets the ball he looks for a wonder goal, or a wonder cross. He plays for himself, not the team and I've noticed it since day one. The thing is, it's going to a such an extreme he is flocking up the entire team offensively and diffensively because he doesn't want the tackle.
For the first goal, Bale may have been cought on the wrong foot by Eagles, but Bentley was there and should have provided cover, but didn't eve TRY. He didn't even try to tackle, push eagles of the ball, foul him, anything.
So in conclusion, it's not the fact he is playing out of position that makes him suck, but his brain and his attitude.

I cant stand all the long rang shooting hes doing now. It looks to me like hes forgotten what he was doing when he playing so well at Blackburn. Whenever he gets the ball he thinks, "fck, should i cross it or shoot"... We've seen lots of players going through bad patches but i dont think ive ever seen anyone with an attitude as meek and mild as bentleys. at least sulky threw his hands around when he was having a bad game!

Guys give poor ickle David a break. According to the papers today he was 'sick'
He must have one of those 4month flu's that are making the rounds.
Tottenham Hotspur - A Life Long Labour of Love.
Maybe a make weight in the Downing deal ??
If not he needs to start playing - along side Downing he could be great!
On last nights performance Arry should put in a bid for Eagles and sell Bentley.
I rarely critisize our players but he showed no passion last night. He wasawful. A cheer went up when he didn't come out for the second half.
Jamie showed what passion he has for the shirt. He came out of the tunnel and started shouting at the rest of the team to gee them up.
We have had players who have been down on their confidence (Daws for one, Robbo another) but I could always see that they wanted to play for the shirt. I cannot see any sign that Bentley has this passion. A Spurs supporterNot on his current displays.
Replace poser for passion Bentley and you may well perform.
Chris Eagles is a true Yid (ex season ticket holder) go get him Arry..............Has put in some brill performances this season.
