I just watched the pathetic performance of tottenham v everton and the thing that annoyed me the most is that we played long balls. Where pathetic at them. On some occations there would be a player marked and a player not marked and the player on the ball opted to go with the one that is being marked, doesent harry redknapp pick this up in training, as brian clough said
"If God had wanted us to play football in the clouds, he'd have put grass up there."
That is the importance of playing the ball to your feet. We have to sort it out or its going to get out of hand and we are going to concide goals from it and that isnt going to help our situation!!!![]()
The problem with todays game is that Everton just hit us with a flukey goal and then stuffed all 11 men behind the ball making it impossible to play through them, i agree though the long ball is a waste of time and we didnt use Lennon enough to his strenghts.
Harry has much to do...........................
F*ck Stratford!!!!

we really missed some key midfield players today modric for sure and jenas was also soarly missed whilst jj is a very frustrating player he is also capable of changing a game we missed that today .
we could be doing with an impact player dos santos fills this role when fit .
"The great fallacy is that the game is first and foremost about winning. It's nothing of the kind. The game is about glory. It's about doing things in style, with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom."

We didn't look ourselves in the game. Normally we like to play the ball aound and carve out a chance but we just never seemed comfortable enough. Long balls are certainly not the answer to that though.
yeah i noticed that to, it was horrible to watch, players like bentley consistently hit hopefull balls which went straight to the oppositiion,
the creativity was lacking badly on sunday. I think we missed jj and modric, players who could give us another option in the last third by stretching play with thier movement. Their was not enough movement to trouble the everton defence
Cooooooome ooooooooon uuuuuuu spuuuuuuuurz

How many top teams use the long ball game. Keep it on the ground people.
Only started playing it since Modders has been out. Shows if he isnt on it we are not on it!!!
