Some dutch psv fans, feel that it is sad that Gomes doesn't play as superb as he did in Eindhoven.
They think that he was happy in Eindhoven and that his former happines was the reason for his succes in Holland.
Now they've started a petition to get him bach to PSV, although he didin't left in such a nice order.
Would you send Gomes back if you could, based on the knowledge of Gomes as a goallie and a human beeing?![]()
if the truth be told no i wouldnt the reason for this is simple gomez is a profesional goalkeeper and needs to take the rough with the smooth , i do not always enjoy my job but even on difficult days i get up and get on with it .
gomez needs to stay and prove himself in the best league in the world !!!

If we can source a decent replacement that can catch a friggin ball then you can have him back with welcome arms mate.
I cant stress enough how important it is to have a back four thats confident in their keeper and we seriously dont have that in Gomes.
F*ck Stratford!!!!
Are you extremely stupid or just plain stupid?
Ever since we got this new goalkeeping coach we have seen a major improvement with dam Gomes! He is communicating a heck of a lot better with the back four and the only reason for todays goal was because it smacked of Corluka, you would have to be a one of a kind goalkeeper to not let it in.

Bog off we are keeping him!!!

Yeah im stupid and your half wit with a very small memmory
Hes cost us some valuable goals already, granted theres a new Coach in now but at the end of the day its down to Gomes on the pitch to perform and so far he hasnt.
Nothing can happen until January so ofcourse he has then to prove his worth so if he continues to flap at balls then im sure your sit there praising him but if he does find his form in the Prem then good luck to the chap.
My position is this if hes still on clown duty up until January then flog him back to PSV.
F*ck Stratford!!!!
i agree with both of you its a touchy subject i was baying for his blood a couple of weeks ago but only because he frustrates the hell out of me he lets in easy goals and in the same game makes a save no other keeper in the prem can make and i mean that have to say there has been amarked improvement in his form lately as u say were stuck to him till jan do i think he has turned the corner?yes do i think he could drop 1 in his own net next match also yes im firmily on the fence here i like the guy so much whats not to like but can i watch him crying in the goalmouth again no
some of the best keepers in the world have these traits ie fumbling at balls ect , look at fabian bartez when he was at the top of his game . i am in no doubt gomez is an exceptional talent and will prove all has doubters wrong .
this guy if confident and comfortable with his teammates is potentialy the best keeper in the premiership

I think he will come good in the end. Not good at kicking the ball, but does have a decent accurate throw on him!

It would have been 3 consecutive clean sheets, had the team not forgotten to defend at a free kick, and if the ball hadn't taken such a wicked deflection.
I mean, if you'll jump on his back after a mistake, you've at least gotta give credit where it's due.
his form has improved and goal keeping is all confidence.Still has alot of convincing to do for me.
I think he is starting to look more settled, seems to be communicating better with his defence. So I don't want him to leave, I believe he could turn out to be a great for us.
Glad to see most of you guys agree he should be kept by Spurs. He hasn't done much wrong in 3 games. Where's your faith you non believers, the man's gonna be at Spurs for years and be a legend.
Good Evening, sorry to be the bringer of doom, but Gomes is
still spilling the ball, and has done in the last three games.
We just have not been punished when he has done so...
In my opinion he is not comfortable catching the ball, and likes
to palm it away, more often than not this will cause problems
in the Premiership. He is a good shot stopper, but he will always
be judged by his mistakes. For me so far this season he has
been nowhere near good enough. If the money was right and PSV
wanted him back, I'd let him go, and bring in a proven Premiership
keeper, and an understudy for the future...
As I have said in many other threads, Gomes is a class act, a real Yid and will become a Spurs legend. No way would I let him go.
