look b4 anyone jumps on me for dicussing a non spurs player ineed your opinion on stephen ireland and not playing for ireland this guy can into the irish side a couple of years ago with hardly any hair next he turns up with a full head of hair and gets stick with the lads trying to pull of his wig haha and he makes up a story about not just 1 granny dying but 2 and refuses to play for us anymore just looking to see what your reaction would be if a english player done this as i think he is getting away with murder as noone seems to have picked up on it i think he is a disgrace by the way he has completly shaved his head now the knob sorry in advance to any spurs fan who doesnt give a toss but im irish and it has been a hot topic over here
It's disgraceful. From a Spurs point of view I don't want our players going to England as they always get injured, however it can do them a world of confidence if things go their way. From an England point of view though, it's not on. We have our players feigning injuries to get out of matches, which is just ridiculous. I think Ireland is quality, but at the same time he's a filthy player and there is no forgiving for what he has done.

If you had the oportunity to play for your country you would sell ya poor old nan to do so, I know I would!!!
He shouldnt be allowed to play for the national team again and it should be the same for those "curious" injuries that Liverpool, Manc Utd, and Chelsea seem to get just before internationals.
Tell him he's not wanted in the national team and move on.

that was a stupid thing to do but hes only young, everyone makes mistakes, i know i have.
i didnt realised it was because they were taking his wig off!!! lol!!!
i would personally ban him from the national side , i dont know viable this idea will be as the republic are not coming down will with high quality players .
what he does not realise is next season he will not get a look in at city and will probably warm the bench all season if indeed they keep him .
i dont see him as a world class player just a world class plonker for treating his country like this .

Wow, this is insane! I didn't know that kind of stuff went on on such a disgraceful scale. Does anyone have a link to an article about this from the media that I can check out? I totally didn't know this about him, I used to like him! This changes things.
