The Club can report that Hans Leitert, First Team Goalkeeping Coach, has left the coaching staff.

Hans joined us during the close season and we should like to thank him for his contribution and wish him well.

An announcement regarding a new appointment will be made in due course.

Are we at all surprised? doesnt say why he has left or if he was pushed, very interesting

Perhaps i'm clutching at straws but maybe Gomes will see this as a fresh start and use it as a chance to put recent form behind him. I am not saying it was the coaches fault but sometimes you have to cling onto something that could change things. Lets hope!

Well he olviously hasnt had a good effect on our goalkeepers so it cant be bad news, To be honest I dont no to much about him other than he was our goalkeeping coach.

I wonder who we will get in? I think we went on without a coach with Robbo when Hans left and that didnt go to well so I cant see us waiting about.

Pat Jennings should be involved at all levels of goalkeeping coaches, he is a legend and he knows how to catch a ball.

      Bring in the Viking

      Erik Thorstvedt
After an entertaining opening to his Spurs playing days, the Norwegian giant became a firm White Hart Lane favourite, thanks to his routine acrobatics (as seen in this memorable pic). Has previously enjoyed a spell as goalkeeping coach with Norway and could prove a popular if not slightly 'leftfield' choice. An added bonus is that he is someone who understands the traditions of the club.

      Great!

Gomes should take this as a fresh start just like the whole team and fans did whenever Redknapp arrived on our doorstep!

Hans Leitert joined us at the start of the summer. Appointed by Ramos to sort out our goalkeeping problems it appears that he has not been successful & Levy/Redknapp have given him his marching orders. He is now the last of the Ramos regime to be shown the exit

Hans arrived with the typical Tottenham hype , being touted as the world's best, most innovative goalkeeping coach. However, he was just another coach with zero Premiership experience & the horrendous form of our goalkeepers has meant that something needed to be done.

It appears that Harry feels he needs top stick with calamity Gomes, at least until January, & so the only thing left to give way was the coach. Whether Harry will now move to bring in David Coles, Pompey's goalkeeping coach who was brought in to revive David James's career, remains to be seen but it is certainly a possibility.

Whatever happens I just hope it will have a positive effect on Heurelho as he can not afford anything else to go against him!

      (watch out here they come!)

Will we stay or will we go now?
Will we stay or will we go now?
If we go there will be trouble
and if we stay we'll do the double
So Levy has got let us know
Will we stay or will we go!

      Rafael, Van Der Vaart
      ƒuck Chelsea & Frank Lampard
with a nick-nack paddywhack he'll be getting goals
when Lampard's too fat & old

Maybe Gomes played the communications card like Bently and a few others did when Ramos was flapping around the Training ground.

Never heard of this guy other than his cheesy website about the art of goalkeeping.

Hope this is the catalyst for a world class stopper at the back.

Might as well give it a go and if we see a drastic improvement then we will know that the problem lay with this fool called Leitert and his *** website of "Art of Goalkeeping".

I think that this is the problem with the game in general. Over here we play a completely different game to most places around the world. We allow more contact than other leagues. Foreign players and coaches just don't understand our brand of football.

I would LOVE to see Erik back at Spurs!!! He was my favourite keeper of all time and in fairness should always be mentioned in hte same breath as Peter 'Rednose' Schmichael... I really thought he was that good!

However, isn't he Chairman of FC Viking (or General Manager)!?!?!

      We should start a campaign!!!
Harry Hotspur, Harry Houdini or Harry Happy... I call him Harry Hallilulia..!

the general trend seems to be british traditional no nonsense staff so in my opinion pat jennings would be a great replacement my heart tells me this . my head tells me somone a bit younger who understands the tactics and difficulties that the modern game throw at you .

i to believe this could trigger a change in gomez and hopefully show him to be the great keeper he is .
