I think its great that Spurs now have such a connection with Setanta what with both Les & Tim working for both us & the television network.
Over the past 2 weeks we've had Spurs representatives on Setanta's 2 main footballing shows, 'The Friday Football Show' that previews the weekend's action & 'Football Matters' that assess it all. Our development coach & Tottenham legend Clive Allen was a guest on last weeks Football Matters & was again present on The Friday Football Show. Then today Tim Sherwood was on the sofa for Football Matters. Both times it was really interesting to hear what they had to say & you know that, coming from them, it was fact & not conjecture.
It was especially comforting listening to Tim as he was quizzed over the now infamous Gomes howler against Fulham on Saturday. He did not really say anything we did not already know but when Becca asked if Gomes was a confident player in training & Tim replied:
"Listen, everything is being done to get this out of his system . . .He's being worked with, he's being spoken to, just to try & boost his confidence."
its a little obvious & I wouldn't expect it to be any diferent but at least we get to hear that from somebody who we ca trust & actually knows 100% that is the case. Tim went on to say how he definitely has the ability, how statistically Gomes was the best goalkeeper in Holland EVER but at the moment his confidence is rock bottom. He said it's up to them to get him out of that rut & he made a specific mention of how great all us Yids have been with him, which was nice!
I really like having such a close connection with Setanta at the moment. It feels like we have a Television station actually on our side (as soon as they sack Craig Burley!)

think i will have to look at the prospect of signing up to setanta then i personally am a bit tired of andy grays arrogant ****ging off .
it seems he has a real problem with tottenham and winds me up
"The great fallacy is that the game is first and foremost about winning. It's nothing of the kind. The game is about glory. It's about doing things in style, with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom."
-Danny Blanchflower
Unfortunately so does Craig Burley (Perhaps worse than Mr. Gray, must be a Scottish thing!).
Interestingly, I was watching an old game from the early 90s that Gray was commentating on & he couldn't stop singing our praises. This anti-Spurs thing he's developed is obviously a more recent thing but both Gray & Burley REALLY p*ss me off!
It was great listening to Clive last week tho as we expect to see Tim & Les on Setanta these days but Clive was a nice surprise. I wonder whether it has something to do with our new bond with the channel that they were able to book him.
I hope we continue to be represented on such football shows.
BTW, I thought you only had to subscribe to Setanta to watch the live broadcasts & the bulk of the televised content can be watched for free, especially outside peak hours.

I saw this programme and was annoyed when 'Becca' said that he was a Gooona!!! So NOT true! And you could tell that she messed up because of his and her's reaction.... But a true gentleman (Stereotypical Spurs Fan) he continued without embarrasing her (although one of the supporters in the audience did pick this up and told her what he thought of her fact finding)!!!
Harry Hotspur, Harry Houdini or Harry Happy... I call him Harry Hallilulia..!
