We have to stop believing that we are somehow owed results in these sorts of games. It really feels as tho, having got big results against big teams, the lads take the smaller teams for granted & a win is a foregone conclusion.

Our performances against City, Arsenal, Chelsea & Liverpool (even the first game when they played us off the park) we worked really, really hard for every little thing & because of that, we totally deserved our rewards.

However, it does not mean that the hard work is done & we can drop down a gear because it's not a top 4 opposition. You have to earn everything in this league & I sometimes wonder whether some of the new, foreign lads truly understand that.

I cannot understand someone like Zokora can look so hot midweek, chasing everything & barely putting a foot wrong, to going virtually invisible at the weekend. It just looked as tho we felt like it would happen for us because we are Tottenham & they are only Fulham but it really, really doesn't work like that. If it did then you could say the same about us when we play Man U. You can guarantee united will work as hard whether they are playing Chelsea or Hull & take nothing for granted. I don't get the sense from us that we treat every team with the same respect & we need to start taking smaller teams more seriously.

I'm sure Harry will drill that into them & will not let them get away with today's performance. It is just not good enough to play so well against Liverpool & so poor just days later against Fulham. If we get that right then we really can threaten the top 4 teams. It shouldn't be a hard thing to get right & I believe somebody like Harry is the perfect person to do it.

I agree to a certain extent, but you've got to remember that this is the 6th game in 2 weeks (or something like that???) and everyone, particularly those such as Zakora who have been running around like nutters for that whole time, are completely knackered. Today's game was always going to catch us out because the adrenalin doesn't get pumping quite as much (because its not the big 4) and now's the time when it's most needed.

It has been an issue for a long while, don't forget we performed against the harder teams under Ramos as well.

Totally agree bass, how frustrating it is too! I think a lot of us had a niggling feeling it would happen against Fulham, sadly proved right. Now we need to see against Blackburn next week that Fulham was a one off and get back on track immediately!

I think that Harry will have spotted this problem and Blackburn will get respect, a hard game and no points.

We have to aim for a clean sheet in order to get Gomes the confidence that he rightfully needs. Lets get back on course again and like Oldskool Yid said lets show everyone that Fulham was a one off!
