This morning, Gus Poyet has admitted that Tottenham were right to sack him and Juande Ramos, going as far as to give “full credit to Harry”. Former director of football Damien Comolli, however, does not hold the same opinion of Tottenham’s start to 2008/09:
“My time at Tottenham went exceptionally well.
“I took a lot of pleasure in what I achieved.
“I think Tottenham was rated as the 11th biggest club in the world — it was extraordinary.
“I had a lot of success. I did a lot of good for the team and left a club in great shape.
“The current results are showing what I did for Tottenham. The team is great and young.”
Granted, Comolli helped the club win silverware and achieved a top five finish in 2006/07, but can the man who forced Martin Jol out of the door really make these claims? Did he really do a lot of good for the team? I'm not convinced.

Well I suppose it keeps him happy. The Main thing is HE'S GONE! The one thing that has p###ed me off is this. How dare he attempt to take the glory for the work Harry the Wizard Of Yid has done.
I suppose he can now go and take credit for stuffing up St Etienne. Hope he had a Season Ticket for Speed Ferries. (They've gone bust.) It'll mean that he's stuck in France and can't do any more damage here.

Well there's an element of truth to the statement that his time at Spurs went "exeptionally well", but unfortunately only for him and not for us, because he must have earnt at least a million quid in his time here. So I'm not surprised he looks so pleased with himself, great work if you can get it. I'm still not 100% convinced by the muppets that backed him for three years either.
