What an amazing turn in fortunes for our ex-boss Juande Ramos. Having only been sacked from Spurs a few weeks back it did not take long before he was being touted for the job at Shakhtar Donetsk but it was being rumoured that he was holding out for an offer from Atletico Madrid, also looking for a new manager. However, it is a certain other team from Madrid who are now suspected to be considering his services.
Their recent form under current manager Bernd Schuster has been very poor. Altho only a few point off the top spots its their performances that has seen Real so publicly criticised & it now appears that Schuster's job is on the line.
However, Ramos is a shock contender for the position. Despite his failures in the Premiership, he remains a very well respected coach, especially in his home country & getting the job at Real Madrid would be a huge turn around for him.
Should he get the job & manage to restore the form to the misfiring club, it would go a long way to restoring his reputation. His record at Spurs, despite winning silverware in his first season, was extremely poor & has left many questioning his credentials. What better way to prove everybody than to turn about a team like Real.
As fed up with Ramos as I was in the end of his time at WHL, I do still have a soft spot for the guy thaks to that wonderful evening at wembley that he provided for us. I still wish him all the best & I personally would love to see him land this one & do well.
Good luck Juande!

Seems possible...
And now the worst case scenario for you:
Ramos takes over Real Madrid and turns them into a flaming goalscoring and winning machine, he wins both Primera Division and Champions League, coach of the year and of the years to come. Poor Tottenham was blind and didnt appreciated his talent and his mentality. They even replaced him with a redfaced coach wo seems to be at the pub all the time. Poor Spurs...
No. Shacktar Donetsk is just fine...

Can't smile without you!
lol, Ozric. I don't think success at Real would equate to success at Spurs. Harry has come in and got the best ever start as a Spurs manager & no matter what Ramos would've eventually done he would not have got our recent results which would have meant even greater pressure.
Real would be a clean start in a division he knows & understands. He was out of his depth in the Premiership & Real, altho a bigger club, are in a less demanding league that plays to Ramos's strengths.
That slow passing style is what the Spanish La Liga is all about but when Ramos tried to emulate it in the Premiership we just looked slow & off the pace.
Wherever he ends up, I wish him success, just not against Spurs & not in comparison with Harry!

Good Afternoon, I can't see any reason why Wendy would do anything
other than succeed at Real Madrid. He is used to Spanish football and
has had success. The Premier League just seemed too much for him,
and communicating in English was never his strong point.
I wanted him out, and I'm glad he has gone, but wish him only the best
with his future. It just wasn't meant to be for him, here...
He has only ever done reasonably well at Sevilla. His managerial record - particularly at top flight sides other than Sevilla - is poor.
If he fails at Real (and that's assuming he gets the job), it will go a long way towards proving or disproving his credentials as a quality coach.
Regardless, he didn't travel well.
Look guys, he is a good manager but the only reason he lost so many games was because he has no clue about the English Premiership whereas Harry whos the man and knows inside and out of the Premiership... If Harry had moved to manage Real Madrid that would be Ramos territory.
Not taking the piss or trying to say Harry is no better than Ramos, but Ramos is a Spanish manager and should have never came to Spurs... Only if Levy had got Redknapp last year![]()
Good Evening, a few whispers that the people at QPR
have made contact with Wendy!
I want Man City to try to get him!!!
Him and the rest of the traveling Circus.
That would be pure comedy!!!
why would QPR possibly want ramos or indeed any other english team , if they were to hire him they would deserve all they get .
