      Hi all,

what with the recent miraculous recovery of our beloved club under 'arry houdini, i couldn't help feeling increasingly angry at ramos, he made a simple game way too complicated, and didn't know how to operate in the premiership, reminds me now of a benitez when he first came, tinkering the team to death.

But still, how easily the tide can change, only last season after the carling cup win and arsenal thrashing, i was hailing ramos as a tactical genius.

Are we a fickle bunch, us spurs fans? will we all turn on harry if things start going pear shaped again, or will we let him build the legacy he wants, to take us where we belong.

i hope so, as otherwise we'll go the same way as newcastle, constantly bleeting on about how big a club we are, whilst descending ever deeper into complete chaos.

      p.s 3-2 spurs tonite methinks

I think we have to give him 'all the times he needs' proven track record (in the Prem) and has player/ supporter confidence - similar to that of Alex Ferg. Arsen Wenger and would have and should have been the same for Jose Maurinhio...

      Confidence * Patience = Success...
Harry Hotspur, Harry Houdini or Harry Happy... I call him Harry Hallilulia..!

I seriously hope so mate. I was one of the people saying that Ramos should be given more time, although with hind sight, it appears he was not the right man for the job. The reason I was saying this was because I am sick of having one manager after another! I believe we have a good one now and like you say, we must stick with him even if things aren't always rosey.

To be honest i dont think we will need to ask the question of "does he need more time" i think we will see progress, dont get me wrong i was pleased with the Ramos appointment at the time but extremely quickly realised he wasnt what was needed at the club, hell it was the first manager ever to actually make me sit down and think " i cant even be bothered to visit my own site" The Guy didnt win anything, he done it all with Jol's team with a little tinkering. No i dont want this to become another Ramos sl*gin thread so ill stop before i get my self wound up lol.

But conclusion i think harry will be given all the time he needs, after all this is the guy that levy actually wanted in the first place, Ramos was a quick off the cuff decision because harry said no to start with.

he has already proven to be what we needed as a manager.the boys have belief again and have the confidence back,so with all this back i think things can only go forward now but it does make u sit and wonder where we would be if harry was our manager to start with

harry should be given all the time he needs , he is a football man who knows the game inside out and back to front , harry has indicated he wanted to :manage a big club before he retires: now harry is no were near retiring so i reckon we have him for a brave few years yet .

My main concern with 'Arry is that his age is against him, what is he 61? I'm not so sure that he's got fotball in his blood like SAF. I think that he might see his contract out and retire. If this is the case in the next 4 years (or less) we will be after a new manager and backroom staff. As much as I can see how good he is doing at the moment I'm still not sure that this isn't a quick fix to "steady the ship" so to speak rather than take us to another level.

'Arry is a good motivator but he's not dealing with big name footballers at the top of their game. We've got talented players but none in the class of Ronaldo etc. I feel that's the yardstick of a good manager when he's dealing with top players at the top. Has 'Arry ever dealt with really top class players?

I'm not rubbishing him as I like the guy and hope he wins us a cup or ten, but as I've said I can't see him here in four/five years time.

hopefully we'll only be asking for a new manager because harry's limitations may be at champions league level, i have no doubt rthough that given time harry will bring our great club to a very high level - as high as BMJ - and hopefully he'll be able to step up that next wee level...

Need we forget that 'Arry nurtured big names such as Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick, Jamie Redknapp, Frank Lampard, Jermaine Defoe, Poalo DeCanio etc, etc... these are big names in football and controlled them with ease - and Decanio was out of control before he went to West Ham and look how that went - wanted in the ned by Alex Fergy... H'e more than capable of managing 'out of control/ egotistical eople' - would have loved him to have looked after Keane & Berby and perhaps none of the summer shinanigans would have ever happend and perhaps we would have been the only Prem club to have not lost (OK, perhaps the later of that is bing too far fected................. controlling Berba that is

Of course you are quite correct (if he couldn't control JR I would be questioning him ) but these were young players that moved on to better & bigger clubs, he kept them grounded at a young age. This is what he can do with our young team at the moment. I just don't know if he has the pulling power to get in and manage a top flight player. I hope he can and hangs around for many a year, but I doubt it. There is a feel good factor at the moment but when it stops, as it will, and we get a bad run of games will we all think 'Arry is the man for the job? Everybody loved BMJ but the fans soon turned when things went wrong. He's not stupid I think he's seen the big club chance but also a big pay off if it all goes tit's up.

I really want to see him succeed at the Lane but we're Spurs and we always find a way to **** things up. I've just seen too many false dawns over the years maybe I'm just too cynical now.
