I know there is an existing thread where we were discussing Poyets role in the whole fiasco of a season we have had so far.
But here's an interesting article on SkySports, where Poyet blames the players for the demise of Ramos claiming that the players who know nothing about football and should be embarrassed.

Well if that is the case Poyet, explain our recent post Crapos form? I now know that Poyet himself is as guilty as Crapoli and Crapos in our recent demise.
Indeed craPoyet and Crapos should be ashamed at their inability to motivate a group of highly talented players, and leading what was a top 5 side to the bottom of the pile.
Tosser...
Sour grapes, I am almost tempted to label him a cretin.

Good Evening, Poyet is doing himself no favours, speaking
in this way. We have a good first team, I have said that a
hundred times here, Harry has the same players at his
disposal as Ramos did. Ramos could not motivate them or
play a settled formation. I'm always quick to blame the
players, but this time the blame lays at the door of Ramos
and his staff, and I'm afraid that includes Poyet.
We have won as many games under Harry in the Prem as
we managed since The Carling Cup Final under Ramos...
Poyet should look at the stats before blaming the players
entirely. My respect for Gus Poyet has diminished
considerably.
We picked up two points from eight games, since the sackings
our return is ten from four tough matches.
Work it out for yourself Gus...
thats a shame he came out and said such silly things. personally i had great admiration for the guy before this.
oh well. maybe this just shows us his true colors, maybe he really wasnt as thoughtful and good with people as we all believed like the impression he gives on sky sports interviews, perhaps this is how he treated the players? maybe he was the reason for lack of motivation?
never crossed my mind before but i have to say its definetly food for thought.
"It's about getting the best out of the lads and confidence. Life is about confidence. Whatever you do in life, if you are not confident you don't perform. It's up to me to get the confidence running through the players and if I can get that instilled you'll see a team that will really play." - Harry Redknapp - 29/10/2008
Poyet accepts he made mistakes & states his disagreement with some of Ramos's decisions also but he is on the defensive after so many players, as well as Levy, have since come out & criticised both him & Ramos (moreso Ramos).
At the end of the day he can't solely blame Levy for Berba's fiasco as we were already not getting results ever since our Wembley win. Personally, i can fully understand players like Bentley's frustrations at being bought for £16m to be played out of position. It wasn't hard to realise that he should be played down the right & the resurgence of his form is more directly linked to the fact that that is now where he is playing & not so much that he wouldn't have done it for Ramos.
Poyet's comments are themselves childish. If players ego were an issue it was up to him & Ramos to control that. These young players rely on guidance from their managers so, even if what he says is true, that is still down to the failings of the management. Is he seriously suggesting that Spurs are the only club where the players own Ferraris?
All the players needed was a kind word in their ear & some positivity around the club & Ramos could not provide either because he still had not learned our language & had begun to doubt himself anyway, let alone the team.
Move on Poyet, you had managed to walk away with some dignity until you chose to come out with such a load of tish & pish.
King and Bongani,
King and Bongani bong!!
(watch out here they come!)
Will we stay or will we go now?
Will we stay or will we go now?
If we go there will be trouble
and if we stay we'll do the double
So Levy has got let us know
Will we stay or will we go!
Rafael, Van Der Vaart
ƒuck Chelsea & Frank Lampard
with a nick-nack paddywhack he'll be getting goals
when Lampard's too fat & old

This interview was a great shame but at least it has shown the true thoughts and the mentality of poyet. I always thought poyet was the main man but it has made me think along th lines of Chivalry in maybe he may have begun to resent the players for not performing.
Arry makes for very interesting post match interviews and I enjoy watching the highlights now as before with the previous jokers it was soul destroying. Happy days now!!!! COYS
He is right to an extent that the players should have played regardless.
However he didnt have the minerals to speak out either did he, he just smiled and spouted crap after every game and ended up as the puppet masters gimpy sidekick.
He was a fraud and should never have been given the job.
Ta ta, see ya down the job centre on monday you bell end!!!
I myself felt a bit of sympathy for poyet until I read that article, then I thought hang on a minute Harry is working wit the same players that you were, you had more time to do a decent job, ultimately the buck stops with the manager and his staff...who's picking the side and giving the boys on the park their tactics you were, also another thing from that so what if one of the players has a ferrari at 20. Good luck to him!!
Gus do yourself a favor mate and stop using the players as scapegoats, it didn't work so thank you and good night![]()
Has unbelievable tekkers....
As stated propper sour grapes from Gus ,the evidence is obvious that he and Ramos were a tad clueless just look at us now FFS!
My respect for the guy has gone.
F*ck Stratford!!!!
One of my all time players but seems it really is sour grapes and has made himself look a right t*at

In a world full of City's and United's...there is only one Hotspur
I do have a little sympathy for Poyet, he feels let down by the players, probably with some justification. He should have been more dignified though and kept quiet, all he has done is made himself look bad, with sour grapes being the first thought that springs to everyones mind!
Yeah that's right Gus, poor Ramos and all the nasty players saying bad things about him. He walked away with millions and got a ticket back to Spain. He couldn't be happier and I still half believe some of his incredibly strange decisions he made were just orchestrated to get him just that; the sack.
i posted backing poyet !!! but i feel a little peeved at these statements , it is true that the players allowed their heads to drop but the most up beat team in the world can only play in their prefared positions .
i dont think poyet had a lot of influence over team selection , well i hope he didnt !!! but hes doing himself no favours talking nonsense now .
"The great fallacy is that the game is first and foremost about winning. It's nothing of the kind. The game is about glory. It's about doing things in style, with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom."
-Danny Blanchflower
I think I said on here back along that Poyet was just a translator.I have not changed my mind. Just add twat now.
