What with the financial problems in Iceland causing problems at West Ham, one of my colleagues who follows them thinks that if they have to pay Sheffield United the 50 million quid and their Icelantic bloke can't sell the club for a knockdown 50 million then they could actually go out of existance like Aldershot did. Immagine Ryman games against Great Wakering Rovers or Averley. Mind blowing thought. What do you guys think?

From what I can make of it, The Icelandic bloke needs 50 million sharpish to bail out his bits and pieces in Iceland. Anyone buying the club will need that as well as any money which has to be paid to Sheffield United.

There was a feature on the late news about this and the financial state of the game in England. There was a financial expert who had looked at the finances of the clubs. Spammers are £150 million in the red with no European revenue comming in and they could go skint. He also said that if Liverpool failed to qualify for Europe then they will have problems.
