Is he still alive? I think he could do a job for us. Failing that is time for Graham Roberts to relace the boots....
You been at the disco biscuits? Graham Roberts has become a clown since retiring. Have you ever seen him on Soccer saturday? It makes me cringe! He is also a serioulsy flawed and failed non-league manager... you have to be kidding me!
As for Dave Mackay, legend though he is, he is 73 years old and he spoke at half time at the Lane last year. Sadly, he is becoming a little senile.
I can only think this thread is a tad tongue in cheek.
A tad, yes, of course. Just alluding to the type of player we need.
Saying that, I know Mackay is 73, but I bet he still has the cahunas to grab a few of our primadonnas firmly by the throat and get them playing with some spirit. As for Roberts he is embarrassing but is obvious he loves the club and still lays himself on the line for them whenever he has the chance.
Cool. I know what you mean. For a second i thought you had gone insane!
On a side note, Roberts has slated the club for not inviting him to the 125 celebrations and putting him in the 125 legends that were on parade at half time against Villa last year.
I tottally agree though, we do needs someone in the dressing room who will go around, slap a few people across the face and and put the fire back in their bellies!
Roberts should have been one of the legends, end of. even if it was only for the part he played in the Uefa cup triumph in '84. He has a right to be pissed off.
And exactly Greavsiefan....
didn't really catch the whole Clyde thing, just wish we had one of his ilk on the pitch at the moment. Obviously any racist stuff he has been involved in is abhorrent.
i reckon roberts should be in the team playing to shake them up a bit
