just read various reports that Russia have requested we release Pav for the weekend, despite his 3 week injury.... :S
      and we have complied......
hears the link to the story...
Spurs on collision course with star striker | Metro.co.uk

Pav..The 26-year-old said: 'I am going to Moscow to join the national team, and I am also going to show my foot to the medics there. Then I'll get the final verdict.'

this is just about the last thing we need right now tbh

there are fans claiming he is going to seek further treatment...theres a comment at the bottom of the link that says exactly that

i respect the fact that he wants to be with his team and watch the game...
but do they need us to release him to allowe this?
can anybody shed any light on it?

This is a joke. The russians are EXTREMELY stubborn. I wouldn't be surprised if miracle happened and his foot was all of a sudden 'fine'.

Well, our national team doesn't badly need Pav as we can invite Pogrebnyak. But the matter is that he's also likely to skip the game cause of recent injury.

National teams never trust a club with medical reports and vice versa. There is nothing to wonder about. It's a regular thing. Pavlyuchenko has been examinated and was sent back to London with his stupid injury.

      I read a russian press

The quote of Pav's interview for Sport-Express:

"Then I has come to the national team and showed doctors my foot it was clear that I can't play. I had a talk with Guus Hiddink. He wished me to recover and I was dismissed. For a speedy recovery I don't fly to Germany with the team and will come back to London in Sunday."

    8. These users same thanks for this post

We obviously care else we wouldn't ask. What makes you say he is a bad player anyway?

I would hardly say he was a bad player. 77 goals in 147 app for Spartak and 10 goals in 24 for Russia, thats nearly a goal every 2 games. That is a very good strike rate for any player.
It is true he did meet up with the Russian squad but is not going to play with them. He has been given sometime to see his family back in Russia and is returning to England on Sunday
