Hopefully thats the win we need, i just hope we go back to 442, i don't think we'll score enough goals with just pavy up front. campbell is a decent player, i hope we try to sign him in january. o'hara at his 110% usual and woody strong at the back. Come on get behind the lads!!! Yido!!
I hope so mate. We didn't play GREAT. But we definetly improved on our last few performances and its encouraging to make progress.
Going up against pompey i think we have the upper hand mentally atleast. We had a good game and beat newcastle away and pompey got absolutely thrashed.

They were utter dog plop and we still played players out of posititons.
It was a narrow win but far from flawless. It wasnt the performance we needed but was the result.
I am trying not to be too critical.
Don't mean to sound like the party spoiler, and it was good to see us win, but I'm still not really convinced any more so than before the game.
We were playing a team who let's face it are in a mess. Good thing was that they played worse than we did. Good to see Pav getting a goal, but the whole team is still far too casual on the ball, no real intent to go forward, even before the 2 goals.

We did play some really nice football though. Just lacking in consistency.
We were **** basically, Woody, Lennon and PAv were ok but overall just ****. No tempo at all. A win is a win though.
we were pants !!! first half but as soon as giovani do santos came on the team stepped it up a gear . no one can deny that the players we have in the team are quality (some of them) but why can we not click and just play to our potential . i dearly hope this will be a turning point in our season pompey at the weekend should be a walk in the park they have conceded 10 goals
in 2 games and pompey has been a happy hunting ground for us in recent times , i am personally fed up being bottom of the league especially when we have a team with so much potential . cmon giovani cmon pavylochenko cmon jenas !!! lets move forward .

Woodgate was strong, King didn't let anyone past, O'Hara was great again, GDS was positive, however their weren't many other good players, they were sh!t and we were gifted with the defining goal...Dunno about you lads but how many times did Lennon get fouled???

Gomes is def starting to look real solid back there. Another good match from him.
How did we concede that goal though? What was going on?
We SERIOUSLY need to get rid of Zokora!!!!!! I cannot remember how many times he lost the ball!!!!! I cringed whenever he touched the bloody thing.
