I am little worried about our team, new season is knocking on the door and still we are buying players, Corluka has singed maybe Arshavin or Villa, and probably Berbatov is leaving.I am little worried because Corluka will have only 1 week with team before start of season, and new striker will not have enough time to know team before start of season. Can Ramos create a good atmosphere and have a good result??
I hope my worries are stupid![]()
Do or Die !
im a little worried but i think things will work out
modric and corluka will beneifiy from having each other as temmates and hopefully settle in faster

Bentley vs. Arsenal 4-4
Rose vs. Arsenal 2-1
Seeing all the yidos smiling at last- Priceless
Corluka is insurance for Woodgate and King, so he's got some time to get used to his teammates. It'd be nice to have Spurs squad squared away already, but I find no fault with Ramos waiting if things aren't in line. Zenit St. Pete is asking an outrageous sum for Arshavin, and Ramos can't sell Berbatov (if that is still the plan) until a new forward joins the club. To move Berbatov before that would put Spurs in a position where they absolutely need to sign a forward and other clubs could use that as strong leverage when negotiating the transfer price.
Can you imagine if the clubs were reversed - thought I read that Arshavin sat out a Cup match that Zenit St. Pete lost because he's demanding a transfer to Spurs. If Berbatov did that at Spurs the message boards would be on fire.
Just have to give Ramos time for things to sort themselves out. Dos Santos looks like a fantastic bargain, Corluka is the solid insurance Spurs need for King and Woodgate (and still young and can improve at just 22), Bentley brings much needed crossing, Mordic helps made the midfield more dynamic, Bent looks like a new man and Gomes has me excited.
Ramos' transfer season looks good so far, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
fully behind Ramos - he is building his own squad!
as above post. fully behind ramos. after watching us destroy roma i think were well equipped for start of the season. still need a few more additions for a long season but the future looks bright.
Ramos is going about building his own team, one he thinks can prosper, not someone else, so I don't expect miracles this season or for that matter the season after. Only in a few years will Spurs peak I think, when the young talent is matured, the team knows nearly every detail about the squad memebrs and more stars have come in.
Cant believe how confident i feel about the coming season espically as Keane has left. All the new signings look good Corluka would be an excellent addition.Imagine how mush stick spurs would have got if we had signed some dodgy injury prone midfielder from Werder Bremnen like the Ars!
I agree with the above post and although we don't know for sure yet I think the answer to the question is Absolutly every signing Ramos has made so far looks to be a smart move
good players should settle in fast. However, Ramos may know what he's doing but I agree that he would have probably preferred to get some of there transfers done sooner.
The only thing really working in his favour is that Corluka has at least been in training & played some games (albeit with City) &Arshavin isvwell into the season for Zenit. At least they should be fit.
well thankfully the time for talking has come to an end and the great team we do now have will have to perform on the pitch , something i believe they will flourish !!!
"The great fallacy is that the game is first and foremost about winning. It's nothing of the kind. The game is about glory. It's about doing things in style, with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom."
-Danny Blanchflower
ramos is well on his way to building a good team, the only worry i have is in defence, maybe a centre half is needed, but it looks as though corluka is signed, and a fit back four of corluka, king, woodgate and bale would be as good as any.
Looks like City wont let Corluka go! SkySport say the deal is off.
What are you going to do with Hutton then? I think he did a brilliant job when he came in and definitely deserves to start the season, excellent player. I think the Corluka signing was really designed for him to cover for King or Woodgate while one is injured, but who knows?![]()
