Goal.com - Tottenham - Jenas Named As Spurs Deputy
Great to hear I think Jenas is finally coming into his own under Ramos and this is further proof of Ramos' faith in him.
Yeah, good for JJ. I think a bit of responsibility is exactly what he needs.
Great! No one deserves it more than him!
Come on you Spurs
But he is not a leader!
He does seem a quiet player on the match
Perhaps his leadership skills are more about team talks and looking after the younger players
Hopefully this will raise hie game so he leads by example
10+ goals would be nice
Good one him. Its good to see him getting recognition of his hard work.

I hope it makes Jenas more consistant this season as he is prone to a few mistakes. On his day he is a good player but he needs to do it more often
Totally agree with berby999 needs to be more consistant
When he shines he is class.
Often goes missing though. This will either help him masivly or wright him off totaly
Good decision, in my humble opinion. I noticed JJ having a word with Giovani Dos Santos, during the game against Borussia Dortmund, after Gio's slightly 'tasty' tackle. Thought it showed great maturity from Jenas, giving his team mate some friendly advice and showing that perhaps he's ready for the responsibility of vice-captaincy.
he does have experience and is rated by his international manager.
he's also in the middle of the park and hopefully the responsibility will make him feel like a more valued member of the team - he's steeping into keanos boots here remember..
good luck to the fella and if it makes him grow up and sort his game out then all for the better
it'll be a kill or cure scenario though - this season he needs to OWN the midfield
I like JJ alot but im not sure he is the right deputy...... I dont think he has leadership skills and when the goin gets tuff hes no where to be seen.... i think wooders or dawson would have been a better deputy, so that they can organise the team from the back.
Cooooooome ooooooooon uuuuuuu spuuuuuuuurz
arty:
Not sure about this one. Woody would have been the man for me. Leads with his mouth an by example. Maybe next season....
I think Woody is the obvious choice but his injury record counts against him. Our captain is likely to be left out regularly & it wouldn't be much good if his deputy also couldn't play!
