i think finally that spurs are finally being taken seriously as a possible contender for the top 4 .

i am optimistic for the new season CL next season ?

its possible we have showed a lot of ambition with our signings this season and i dont think were done yet .

shy shouldnt we be considered contenders ?

Seem to nitice recently when a player of decent stature is mentioned with the "big 4" spurs are usually sniffing around too!!!

oh for sure, im a Man U supporter as the name obviously suggests, and i welcome you to the top 4, get some of the other rubbish out. The question really in my mind is not whether you get to the top 4, its WHO your knocking out. My money is trully on Arsenal, Torres just impresses me enough that him and Keane might just light it up enough to stay in the top 4 somewhere. Definitely looking forward to seeing or trying to see 3 games a week, whoever Tottenham, Chelsea and of course my boys are playing.

And just for some humility, have at it boys

It's great to have somebody who supports a different team in our forums and not try to stir s**t up. Welcome to the forums.

I can see Chelsea dropping out of the four, when their money gets taken away. They'll be in big trouble. Liverpool will always be around the big 4, but definitely are flirting with relegation from it at the moment. I have no idea what the future holds for Arsenal. Manchester...they are in a lot of debt but I think they will be the only team guaranteed to contend for the title every year.

i read an article about the big 4 over stretching themselves to gain success, because all of them have over 250 million pounds debt. But I don't think it's because of that.

I think most of ManUTD's debt has come about because of the upgraded stadium and also as a result of the Glazer take-over. But the united brand is so strong, I would consider them financially sound even with something over 500 million in debt.

exactly, there is debt from the upgrade, and takeover is basically all that included......the glazier family is well off and we are by far not in any trouble cause like Ledley said the brand is so strong, i mean we bought over 50m of players last year with the same debt and are making strides to take care of it. Chelsea, well we will never know where they sit as Roman is just made of money and something brown that stinks and steams. Ive always thought Man U and Liverpool were definitely the ones to always been contenders, one more so than the other as Liverpool seams to fall on its face along with Arsenal at wrong times, they either succeed more so than any other team (ie undefeated season for arsenal a few years back) or just do well enough to get their fans excited then fall from the race. I personally have always been a Tottenham fan from the first day i had access to the English league in the states, United have always been #1, but some of the spurs games ive seen over the years have been some of the most complete dominance and beautiful that they can be listed with my favorite games up there side by side with some United games. Last 2 years ive been less keen to watch tottenham as ive found myself torn between watching Fulham(team USA ROFL) or Tottenham. But definitely this year ill be watching what i consider the big 3, United, Spurs and Chelski......Cheers.

We make top 4 this season and I will personally walk to London and kiss Juande's shiny Spanish shoes. We need to get off to a flyer for starters, 6 points in the bag going into Chelski game. I will be over the moon with 5th place and another cup though to be honest.

i hear what you say with regards to a 5th place finish , but for the long term success of the club we need CL football this is what the big names want and this should be our goal lets dump the gooners out of the top 4 .

now that would cheer me up

Gooners have sold 2 of they best players last season and theyve buy just one quality player so i say that we have a chance... but im afraid that Wenger will manage to pull something off... dont get me wrong I hate him, but he is genius and always seems to find a way to stay on top...

Glazer mortgaged Old Trafford to finance the complete purchase of the club.

I don't think there is as much as before last season. Consecutive 5th place finishes, once narrowly beating the Arsenholes by 2 points. Everyone expected us to move 4th, but we had a bad start which crippled us. There's a bit optimism now then halfway through last season, but not too much. I think the money men think there's too much disruption in the team.

Odds aren't bad though. To finish top 4, is between 5/1 and 7/1. 5th place is 7/2 Top 6 is evens. To win is 50/1, at least a quarter of the odd of any other non top-four team.
