Its really good to see that Spurs are involved with this tourney where there will be high level friendlies.

In the past few seasons, Spurs had quite easy friendlies which didnt push them before EPL proper started.

The Peace Cup tourney that they won was ok, but here the bonus is that Spurs don't have to travel half way around the planet to get high competition friendlies.

This way Ramos can really assess the readiness of the players and from there decide if additional players are needed.

Lets see how Spurs starts with Celtic. I hope that they play Dimi.

I think this is a great tournament, Dortmund and Celtic are good teams and will be a great test for us. Although, my mate is a Celtic fan and tells me they are useless when it comes to pre-season and expects us to win.

      Really?

I would have thought that they would also be in their last leg of preparation too.

Yeah I think their seasons starts next weekend. He just claims that usually they are rubbish when it's non-competitive.

I hope the King Artur Boruc of Poland plays for them tonight.

im going to miss the opening match tonight as im going to be at work. if it wasnt for sky plus i would be really upset! now all ive got to do is avoid the bbc website all evening....

should be a good test though. we always seem to do well in preseason and then lose the opening match, so will be good to have a bit more of a stronger opponent in the build up to the start of the season. lets just hope no one picks up any injuries

Can't wait for the game later, agree it will be good prep for us with some good oppostition to play.
It'll be very interesting to see the line-up, as posted earlier, what if Berba plays tonight? could that mean he's staying or if he doesn't play does that show he is definatly on the way out?
I know a lot of the time who plays in friendly's has no bearing on anything but with the type of game we've got tonight, it's the most competetive type friendly where teams are starting to look at winning games rather than just performing.
Many may disagree but the starting line-up will tell it's own storys and i can't wait for 5:30
Let's all hope for a good game and a good showing of some great new talent.

I hope to see more evidence of Ramos' footprints on the team . . . that they will attack with a lot of penetration and at pace.

      That would be awesome.

I want to see Bentley tonight and also more of Modric as he is building up his fitness

Also Dortmund beat Bayern in the german equivalent of the Communit shield and I was very impressed with them

and as always I just can't wait to watch the great passing and attacking football that Spurs play under Ramos man I can't wait only another hour and ten minutes

My mate said they would be worried if they had a good pre-season. Apparently they've been crap every summer but then won their title, lmao!

Really excited to see this match. My national hero will be in the Celtic side and it's the first chance I get to see our new players because I don't have Setanta, which had the Norwich game.
