Heard him talking on Sky Sports News tonight, reckons Spurs may struggle big time at the start of the season because there's too many new faces coming through the door too quickly.
What's your views?
We need to sign a top striker Soon because until the moaner berba commits to spurs ,we only have one striker and if he picks up an injury we're f*cked. So Gerry could be right
i dont particularly care what gerry francis thinks .thats why he is a football pundit and not a football manager he doesnot have the vision that jr has ,and lets face it we will need to pretty bad to end up in the same position as last season .
i trust ramos will do a good job in making the team ready for the new season and the nucleus of a great team is still there .

I never really cared for Gerry that much (came up with far too many BS excuses) but it it echos what i've been saying. A lot of people are people are expecting Champions League positioning at the end of the season, but I think we'll be lucky if we hit UEFA.
It was evident at Norwich, we gave possession away quite frequently with passes being made a few yards too far forward or behind. That said, when it clicked, it was awesome.
It will take the players a while to get used to each other (striking partnerships normally take 1/2 a season, so metric that how you wish), but when they do, they'll be one hell of a team.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to what GF says as I believe that players who are technically gifted will be highly adaptable and be able to read the game.
It helps that all these players are young & fit, so can play at a high tempo.
Besides, the team is fairly new in the attacking third of the field, if the wholesale changes were in our defence, now that might be alarming.
Who cares about Gerry Francis? His track record in the transfer market was poor. He was always moaning about injuries to players. SHUT UP MULLET MAN!
From what i have seen pre-season so far the new players have adapted fine and are playing the way Ramos wants them to play. Cant wait to watch vs Celtic and Dortmund.
I can see where he is coming from to be fair, it takes a while for players to gell and sometimes they just dont gell ever. Lamps and Gerrard!!!
I dont see us strugling going forward as long as our first 11 get regular games together in this tournament and the rest of the pre-season friendlies, however i do still see us short of cover at centre back. all it takes is either of the old men to get a bump and we are officially up sh*t street!!!
We need cover there then i will be reasonably happy. agreed that if we achieve a top 6 finish this year then we will have done well, even better if we can combine with a decent cup run. That will be a successfull season in my eyes and ligning up a push for the top table next season.
to be honest i think their was a little bit of envy towards ramos when he done his interview yesterday, personally i really like gerry, but was very dissapointed by his comments very NEGATIVE.
I was quite supprised as he normally has gud things to say about spurs, to say we are goin to struggle to get into the top 5 region really got to me, especially with the players we have signed.
lets see if that changes in a few months time...........
Cooooooome ooooooooon uuuuuuu spuuuuuuuurz

I reckon he could have a point, I mean lets face we have changed around half the team and if we hit the ground running then il be over the moon but if we did stumble in the first few weeks i dont think we could be too over surprised as they find their feet.
F*ck Stratford!!!!
Was never really a big fan Gerry and still not. With all the talent we have invested in and to say we may struggle is a complete joke!!
Yes we lost a class player in Keane but doesn't mean we're gonna struggle over losing one man?? The other players we sold are just all the dead wood at the club in which will not be missed.
Anyway what does Gerry know? I remember the days when he was playing Stuart Nethercott at left back!!!!!!:dontknow:
I can see where Francis is coming from. A huge change in first team personnel and one wonders (well, I do anyway) how quickly they'll gel. No doubt they will gel, but the real question is how quickly we'll get the best out of them as a core to the team this season.
Saying that, ever the optimist - as you have to be! - I'm not bothered what Gerry has to say. Performances on the pitch will determine our success (or otherwise), not the comments of a pundit pre-season.
Still can't forgive him for that shambolic display against Everton at Elland Road.....
