"Chelsea Football Club can confirm that Avram Grant has had his contract as manager terminated today. This follows meetings over the last two days.
"Everybody at Chelsea FC would like to thank Avram for his contribution since taking over as manager last September. "We will now be concentrating all our efforts on identifying a new manager for Chelsea and there will be no further comment until that appointment is made."

Chelsea Football Club can confirm that Avram Grant has had his contract as manager terminated today (Saturday, May 24). This follows meetings over the last two days.
Everybody at Chelsea FC would like to thank Avram for his contribution since taking over as manager last September.
We will now be concentrating all our efforts on identifying a new manager for Chelsea and there will be no further comment until that appointment is made.

A bit harsh sacking him but it was always going to happen, i think even if they won the champions league he would have gone
worst kept secret in football, but now its official. in my opinion he should never have had the job in the first place!

The club is a circus and i trully hope Roman buggers off and the club folds, even if Grant had won the champions league he would still be sacked by the board.

i don't think he was big time enough, he seemed like a decent bloke who did a half decent job at the bridge but he never had the flamboyance of a morinio , this guy abramovich has enough cash to get who he wants when ever he wants, this don't garentee his success but hes gonna try till he gets the guy to bring trophys there, im very interested to see morinio linked with the job again and apparently Erickson, its gonna be interesting to see who they buy in the closed season. bet theres some cash gonna be flying around.
