Evening yiddos
Was just wondering. You lot and the 'Ammers seem to hate each other quite a bit. I know in London it's all the teams against each other and all that, it's the same up here in Yorkshire. But I was just curious as to why Spurs and West Ham in particular have quite a huge rivalry? Any history or is it just from two London sides playing each other regularly? I can also imagine with it being West Ham there must be some off the pitch stuff involved too.
Damn i dont really mind west ham last season i actually had abit of a soft spot for them because i liked zola but now hes gone and theyve got that grant guy that pisses me off i dont like them that much but not really a rivarly for me, I only really hate arsenal if im gonna be honest.
I was in work the other night watching the home game against Young Boys. Some Spam fans were here on the night and they were fuming when Crouch scored the first goal.
To me I don't give a damm about the Spam since I don't see them as any real opposition. However I believe the hatred goes the other way. i.e. them to us.
P.S. I h8 the gooners!

I used to have a friend who was a yid who really hated West Ham, probably more so than Arsenal. I still don't know why. Like Spursfan, I liked them for Zola but I don't rate Grant at all.
Personally, I don't mind West Ham but then again I don't mind Arsenal.. Yeah, that's right I said it. Now we've lost the groan feature I can say it. To be honest, the more teams that play like Arsenal and us the better MOTD becomes, and that's better for all of us.

Nidzumi your correct. When arsenal play i want to hate them so much but sometimes i just relax and enjoy the attacking flair, loads of goals and great football come on we cant lie, its nice to watch and thats why we support spurs because we play nice football too but they will still always be a rival and when i see a guy walking down the street with an arsenal top i think eww.
Ah, bitter one way rivalry. I'm used to that. See: Huddersfield Town, Bradford City, Hull City, any tin pot club from Yorkshire.
Everyone knows your real rivals are Arsenal, same how everyone knows ours are Man Utd. I'm sure in a few season when West Ham go down they'll be reunited with their good friends Millwall.![]()
Ah! Millwall and west ham a classic rivarly lol! i bet theyll play behind closed doors next time they play though :[]
Yeah, way I see it is we used to bitterly hate arsenal to the point where it was sad and envious (then we dicked them over a couple of times).... I think that's what West Ham feel towards us. As previously stated, there's no chance of them catching up with us soon or even beating us so most Spurs fans probably like West Ham for the 6 points and banter unless they live in East London or work with a lot of them. We were 3-2 down to them a few years back at Upton Park and came back and almost relegated them 4-3. While that is fantastic fun, speciality fixtures are always as follows;
Spurs-arsenal
Fulham-Chelsea
Millwall-West Ham
Anything else isn't a real big rivalry/derby... although I'd probably put our chelsea rivalry over the spammers one now. Some great matches against them lately and it was always notorious for off the pitch tensions.
Fulham Vs. Chelsea? Really?!? I thought it was more chelsea vs. west ham. i didnt know fulham had any rivals cause there such a friendly football club and their stadium is called craven cottage its impossible for them to have rivals, everyone loves them.
Chelsea V Fulham is barely a rivalry these days at all... infact Chelsea fans hate us the same way West Ham fans do for whatever reason. If I'm on a train with Chelsea fans you'll hear them singing about how much they hate us and it's funny.
True... Ever since the first London FA Cup final, then the headhunters etc. and on top of recent results chelski probably would consider us their biggest on and off the pitch rivals now as arsenal/united fans' are hardly noise makers - I guess that Fulham rivalry really only comes from the Fulham end who don't have a bad word to say about any other club.
Actually if Yorkie is still about I always wondered about the Leeds-Chelsea rivalry? Randomly heard Leeds singing "We hate Chelsea" at a league one game (was scratching my brain as I thought they said Celtic the first time). Anyway, was still a bit bemused by it all, whilst tempted to join in...
Have mine eyes deceived me! Don't mind Arsenal? Yeah, they play some tippy tappy football but I would rather watch Spurs up and at 'em style. When Arsenal aren't clicking they are not fun to watch at all. Their only element is short passing so when they've been matched they are so predictable and dare I say boring, you just seem to know they will pass around the area for a minute before Clichy or Sagna whip in a terrible cross. They aren't Villa but Arsenal's football is overrated, they build up their reputation when it works against the weaker sides in the league.
