There was a lot of 'Arry bashing last season - media scandal, a few strange tactical decisions & subs. And I bet there were (are) some that, even after 4th place, that want him out.
I said I'd reserve my judgement until after the summer transfer window.
He got us into 4th place then the Champions League proper.
Now he's managed to land van der Vaart who could be very special for us this season.
Admitedly, I would have liked a proven goal scorer as we don't lack midfield quality but you can't sniff at class like vdV for 8mil...
So, is the jury still out? Is 'Arry our messiah? (or just a naughty boy?) Or should we get him out and find a manager that can get us in the CL and, er, bring in world class players and, hang on...
If you still slate Harry you're a muppet.![]()

I was going to add that vdV was Levy's idea but forgot. However, haven't we been more interested in him since Harry arrived?
I agree though. I think Harry has done wonders for us. I never believed the hype regarding the common "from relegation fodder to CL" crap. But I was a little skeptical about his European experience. Now though, even if we don't get through the group stage (and even if we don't for the next 5 years) I don't care. He has lifted morale and and got us playing competitive, attractive football.
He gets a thumbs up from me so far. We going to hear a new round of "get rid of Harry" threads come April when we fail to win the title?![]()

harry is the best manager we have had in a very long time anyone that wants him out knows nothing about football his brought the best out of alot of players and brought great football to the club and some very good players and champions league football
im more worried around the time of the court case mate,im sure there will be a load of shite getting thrown during that
Ive never asked for Arry"s head, but I am not and never have felt convinced by him at all, even so he has got us in the CL somehow, lets hope for a good season this time. If Im honest I believe Levy has been incredible for this club and for keeping Arry in check, he would be more of a loss than Arry imo.

Rated is still and will always be after Arry's head.
Leader of the Spurtles.
There is no way we can talk about sacking harry after what he has achieved but he has made some bizzare decisions and i still cant forgive him for playing kids IN A UEFA CUP KNOCKOUT MATCH, it could of saved our miserable season a great uefa cup run.. we were like 4 points above relegation or something like that and there was no way we were getting relegated..we ended up finishing 8th!
I just hope the FA dont appoint him after Capello the cock leaves, people go on and on about his tax stuff but he'd be the man for the job right now imo. Wouldnt want him to leave obviously but being realistic.
Steven Caulker is the messiah!
Thats his name on here! haha and he is one by all means....It's good that Levy got him a new deal this summer, if he hadnt have got him to sign I would be worried but really at the present moment he would be the best fit for England. I'd like an English manager and him or Pearcy would fit the bill for me.
Anyways, dont want to depress the mood.......Just hope he gets the team going which im sure he will

We have ended the transfer window with all the contracted players we ended season 2009-10 with and who collectively earned us fourth place in the Premier League.
We have four additions to our squad, all of whom are ready to play first team football - Croatian international goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa, French international defender William Gallas, Brazilian international defensive midfielder Sandro and Dutch international attacking midfielder Rafael Van der Vaart.
We have only spent a net £13 million on improving and strengthening our squad and we have the guarantee of an extra £30 million income from the UEFA Champions League.
All-in-all, I'd say it was a rather satisfactory Summer transfer window, wouldn't you?

i'd personally like to know who's been calling for harry's head so i can fill out a form for them to go to a mental institution to get their head sorted
some people need to get there facts right if it wasn't for harry we'd be:
- still a mid table side
- still dreaming of playing champions league football
- still be making pish foreign signings instead of well thought out, proven british ones
- still a laughing stock of the EPL
- still be incompetent away from home
- still be seeing excuses of players running around in that beloved lilywhite shirt a la ghaly

woody08 forget all them, we would be in the championship and everyone will forget who we were and we will be an average team in the championship like middlesbrough at the moment..
