Good Morning All, Tomorrow we travel to Pride Park,
for a 3pm start against Derby County.
An easy three points? Well, following Spurs as long
as I have, I know things are not always simple!
Two draws against top four sides in the last two games,
both could easily have been wins, so confidence should
be high. In the past after good results, we have slipped
up against so called "lesser" teams. So lets hope for a
good display.
Derby have plenty of worries at the back, Mills, McEveley,
Mears, are joined by Claude Davis on the injured list.
Darren Moore and Andy Todd are doubtful with hamstring
problems.
Our Team News is thin on the ground at the moment, Bale
out for the Season, Zokora on his way back after Ivory
Coast's exit. Haven't seen any fresh injury worries, I would
be surprised if Ledley plays a part with big games coming up...
Although Woodgate is suspended, Gilberto's available.
The Bench will be interesting, Bent may return, but I wonder
if Ramos will put one of the reserve strikers (Pekhart?) amongst
the Subs.
As reported this week, next Season will see more opportunity
for fringe players, it will be seven subs, rather than five...
A Comfortable win is what I am looking for...

Good Luck.
SHOULD be a comfortable win but like you i have been around far too long to take anything for granted! lol
We have enough quality all over the pitch to see Derby off. Shame Woodgate is suspended though (didn't realise he was to be honest) otherwise i think we would have been a shoo in for the three points.
If we have any realistic hopes getting the coveted 7th place we HAVE to win games like these.
Good Afternoon, have to agree with that.Originally Posted by Old Yid

Good Afternoon, Today's Teams...
Derby County
Roy Carroll Marc Edworthy Darren Moore Dean Leacock
Alan Stubbs Stephen Pearson Giles Barnes Robbie Savage
Emanuel Villa Craig Fagan Kenny Miller.
Substitutes
Lewis Price, David Jones, Robert Earnshaw,
Andy Todd, Mile Sterjovski.
Tottenham
Radek Cerny Alan Hutton Pascal Chimbonda Michael Dawson
Tom Huddlestone Steed Malbranque Kevin-Prince Boateng
Jermaine Jenas Aaron Lennon Robbie Keane Darren Bent.
Substitutes
Chris Gunter, Jamie O'Hara, Dimitar Berbatov,
Younes Kaboul, Paul Robinson.
It is very very rare for me to express concern before a match, especially against derby, but i'd bet my mortgage on bent having to be substituted for berbs....let's just hope keane and jenas do the job before then. I would love to be proven wrong though, and bent marks his return with a glorious hatrick!
COME ON U SPURS
LOL, ramos was desperate for dawson to stay on, so was I!

That's the worst 45 mins I've seen for ages...
Garbage.
Once again Steed is playing amazing yet again, a very very underrated player.

O' Hara is playing well. Hard hitting, making his presence known, just what he should be doing.

Good goal by Kaboul, 0-2. Points secured.

Calmly placed in the bottom corner, keep went wrong way. +1 for Berbatov.
berba gave him the eyes and tucked it in the other corner , goood stuff, yiddo yiddo yiddo
dont think there was even any doubt about where the points were going in this match. sounds like they made us work for them though
Give a man a fire, he'll be warm for a night, set a man on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life!
Great second half display, makes up for the awful first.
I was unfortunately right about bent, i really think this settles the "do we need another striker" argument, only now it's a 3rd choice, not a 4th, as we already have him, and a snip at 10mill he was too.
Another marathon display from malbranque, i was also glad kaboul got on the scoresheet, should do the lad's confidence the world of good.
just slightly concerned about how dependent we seemed on berbatov, i am now praying to the football gods that he stays.
Oh, and K.P seems to have lost the plot completely.
Good win in the end but only before Derby had a glorious chance to take the lead FFS, first half which as already stated was utter garbage but we showed class in the second to take all three points!
Not sure why Bent was given a start and as seen didnt get a kick all the time he was on the pitch, hes gotta show some form and yes i know its early but he didnt show a thing today and I sighed with relief when Berba came on and when that piece of crap KPB was also taken off, I want him gone in the summer please Villa take him away.
So three points today takes us a tad closer to the spanners and that euro spot which is a must,
F*ck Stratford!!!!
