What ever happened to our 1984 UEFA Cup winning, penalty saving goalkeeper Tony Parks? :29:
tony is one of the national goal keeping coaches along with former spur ray clemance , there is a link to a nice piece about tony, he finished his playing career in the 2002 at halifax as player /manager

Bloody hell, i remember that game like it was yesterday, it was only a fortnight before my 14th BirthdayOriginally Posted by Essex Spurs
when the 2nd leg was played, it was 1-1 from the first leg and all was to play for in the 2nd leg, i
remember being 1-0 down with about 5 minutes to go when Graham Roberts equalised, and chewing
my nails like crazy during extra time, then the penalties, Parks saved the first pen and i remember
thinking we're gonna do it, we scored 4 out of 5 with only Danny Thomas missing, after missing
their first on they then scored the next 3 and then it was down to Parksy, not sure who took their last
penalty but Parksy flung himself to the right and got a firm hand on it, and the rest is history.
Let's hope we can experience more of the same this year. [glow=darkblue:a898db726d]C . O . Y . S .[/glow:a898db726d]
Thanks guys. I was there as well that night - unbelievable feat. It has to rank alongside Ricky Villa's Wembley classic goal (I was also there as well) as my all time favourite Spurs memories.
