The Hud

Sorry if this has been raised before elsewhere, and mods, feel free to delete if im repeating something someone else has noted...

But does anyone else think that Huddlestone is looking pretty good at centre half in the couple of games he has played there recently.

I know he played a lot of games for Derby at the back, and given his lack of mobility in the middle of the park, maybe we have found his best role?

I thought we were a little flat last night, but we defended well, and that has to be a bonus.

No dont agree with that fella, Hudd has done ok there but id rather see king,Dawson or Woodgate in the position!

Tom isnt exactly quick either so not sure what he would be like with pace thrown at him week in week out, for he plays best infront of the back four spraying the key passes about.

of course, I would rather see King, Woodgate or Daws at the back rather than Hudd too, but given the likelyhood of us having those players fit at the same time, I think Huddlestone might be a more than able deputy.

I think the HUD has been one of our better young finds - I watched him at Pride Park a few times v Spurs (got a Ram mate up in ashbourne - I miss those guys in the prem) and I was pleased we signed him.

Some of his first touches are awesome but there seems to be a lack of punch in his game, for his size he needs to be more aggressive but hes done well deputizing at the back and I think we'll be stretched this campaign with Euro and cup football - so come on HUD get stuck in mate !!

BTW, We will beat Krakow of course !!

If he could tackle and threw his considerable weight around a little he would be a decent DM.

Good enough to cover at CB if we are propper strapped. Did ok in one of our friendlies from what i can remember, but deffo not a full time CB as he is too slow and lazy!!!
