So, based on this season's performances and i guess whoever you rate generally, where do people see the wholes in our side and where to you think we need new players either now or come the summer?
The aim being to see what we think we need to get back to europe and next season break into the top four.

To start, I think on the left side the "hole" depends on where we play Bale, though either way we need quality left-footers for both positions, back-up as well as another starter for one of them.

I've put holes in both centre midfield positions because although we can do well enough this year without being forced to buy this window, I've yet to be convinced by any of our options in that area. O'Hara is young but I like what I hear (haven't had the chance to see), Zokora and Jenas only convince occasionally and while a slimmer Hud looked good, he still hasn't shown enough (the headbutt didn't help).

I put a potential hole at right back, because Chimbonda could be unsettled. I like Chimby, I think we'd do well to keep him. To clarify: I think there's only a hole if Chimbonda leaves.

There's also a similar hole at centre-back, because I don't rate Kaboul and I only rate Dawson alongside King. I think it's important we get a good, experienced centre-back who doesn't need King to look good.

Finally, there's a hole at keeper in my view. I've always thought Robinson was pretty good, if not spectacular, but I think with what's gone on this season performance-wise, and with the stuff that come out after he was dropped, etc, I think it's best we get someone else. He's also a confidence player, and I think for him to get it back he needs a move.

SO yeah, that's my view, for what it's worth. I think the most important holes, the ones we need to plug in this window, are the ones in the centre and left side of the defense. A keeper would also be prefereable this window, while a good defensive centre midfielder or a proper two-way player could be considered preferable or just optional, I'm undecided as of now.
But come the summer, every single one of these holes needs to be addressed. I can think of some players we should get as well, but I';ll save that for later (Guardado for the left side! :6: ).
