Hi all, I am a local fan of Tottenham Hotspur (live in Enfield) and have over the years purchased many memberships & tickets for games meaning I am on the Tottenham Hotspur database.
Now today, when i went look at how to get myself on the season ticket waiting list, I was astonished to find that the only way of getting on the list, is to become a bronze member!
Now I understand that loyal Tottenham fans should be able to buy season tickets but to have to pay a yearly fee to just be on the waiting list is frankly stupid in my opinion and I believe its a money making scheme from the club.
Here is what it says on the official website:
"7. How do I join the Season Ticket waiting list?
You will need to become a One Hotspur Bronze Member, but will need to pay the additional £15. To remain a Bronze Member each season will then cost the Lilywhite membership fee plus £5 to keep your place on the Waiting List. Upon purchasing a Season Ticket, you will be refunded your £5 retaining fee for that season. Additional benefits of Bronze membership include being able to purchase match tickets before Lilywhite Members."
Is it just me that thinks this system is stupid? I think you should be able to do a signup just like you can do for the 2012 Olympic tickets. Ridiculous that you should have to pay every year to just remain on the waiting list.
You may think well by becoming a bronze member atleast you can go to games however at this moment in time I cant afford to as im 16 however when the new stadium opens in a few years, I might have money to buy a season ticket, but now i am being denied the chance due to this rubbish system of the so called 'waiting list'

Hm ... nice way of making money.
What if they said, you didn't need to become a bronze member, but your chances will be better if you were one? Would that still bother you? Would you sign up or just go the regular route and have a higher percentage of missing out?

If it were free, there would be SO many people on the list without any real intentions of actually buying a season ticket, to stop people goin "Oh, i like spurs, and it's free so i might as well" and 2-3 seasons down the line completely forgetting about it. It wastes time (and they make a little cash on the side)

Its something like £45 every year, hardly £5, and obviously Heroes you are a lucky person as you seem to have not been affected by the credit crunch![]()

Only 'cos the government say it is....
Anyway my suggestion for spurs would be this. A signup option with a couple of specifications. I'd say you should have to be on the Tottenham Database. Even if we have to pay, even something like £5 a year is not too much however making you be a member at the same time is abit :/. However to spurs view point, it must make a helluva lot of money every year for them

Doesn't bother me. I wipe my arse with £5 notes.

Hey whats our hard earned money for, Im sure they need it more than we do.![]()
TBH it seems that you are a bit on your own with this one Hudd, cos there are now approx 27000 people on the waiting list!
I don't have a problem with paying £5 per year to remain on the list, its only 10p a week.
Do what I did at your age and get a paper round or something!

Nice way to welcome young members too!!!
Give the kid a fookin break, he has asked a simple question. If you're really that bothered, I'm sure mummy and daddy can stump up the fiver, if not, ask one of your uncles.
Or nice way of showing your support.
If you want to be cheap - go support an amateur Sunday league team.
