there is big paper talk this morning about Robbo going ---- green in.

Downing coming for £10 million big ones........

it seems Robbo has thrown his dolly out and demanded a move,IF its true ,it seems a little short sighted ,what if defoe ,keane or even berba said they wanted a move when they were dropped/rested.......?

As for Downing ,i thought this has gone away when bmj left...

We would be better spending big on a right back and pushing Gareth Bale on ( when fit )...

were becoming a laughing stock with our big money english signings......bent / jenas ( sometimes ) and now Downing :13:

hmm, interesting reading. I think most people agree theres better keepers than robbo out there. and cerny has even told the press they are looking to bring in a new number 1 in so hes (cernys) leaving.
i thought this downing thing had died a death! if were spending that much, why dont we look at someone like joe cole? probably a bit more, but worth spending that extra bit. personally i would like to give duff a run on the left side at spurs.
wild stab in the dark, was this in the sun by any chance?

yehh i think it was .......

so it might be rubbish ,lets hope so.

joe cole you would probably have to spendanother 2-3 million but ambition and all that...!!

what would our glorious spanish leader know about Downing..... sound Commelli again, surely Ramos would like a spanish winger or somebody he knew

i think your probably right about the commelli/levy effect. i smell another bent scenario!
dont get me wrong, ive seen alot worse than downing on the left side, but if we think were a top 5 team, we need to be looking to get someone of a higher stature than him. im sure ramos will be looking to bring in some young foreign blood to the team in the summer.

Don't rate Downing at all i'm afraid. Would love to see Morten Gamst-Pedersen down our left...

downing is a carthorse , no pace , very limited ability for the prem, and as far as robbo is concerned i have never rated him since i saw him as a youth at leeds, hes a shot stopper thats all, just like shay given, when it comes to comanding your area and taking charge he is saddly lacking, shame to say but its time to move on mate, we have a reputation at spurs of being very forgiving to our player but i think this one has gone far enough, let get rid and bring in a class keeper, some one who can demand respect of his defenders and commant his area,
robert green is an interesting choice, not completely convinced about him either, is he just having a good season with wet spam, looks like were gonna av to go abroard for a keeper to fit the bill,
      any suggestions boys

Green has been a consistantly good keeper since he pulled a shirt on at Norwich. Great signing if we do get him. I think Robo will be forced to pull his socks up if he comes, as on current form Green is streets ahead!!! I think Casper from Man city would be worth a punt as he seems out of favour at the minute (Hart has nicked hi spot).

Downing.........Give it a rest, he is pony!!!

I think The jock we was after would have been a better prospect as somone said we could push bale further up the park. Its obvious that he wants to win an SPL medal before he goes anywhere, we may have a bit of luck with him in the summer, or spend a few quid abroard?

As for Cammoli running the show again..........I just dont get it!!! Why would Ramos agree to come and manage a team that he has no real controll over the progression of? Obviously he is getting a wedge deposited into his off shore bank account each week, but its not like he actually needs it.

On a side note its good to see that Ramos has got the Bo**ox to ruffle a few of the pamperd Pr**ks feathers if he needs to.

      Great work fella!!!

I think downing is pants i read that kanoute wants to come back i'm surprised ramos hasn't tried to get a few of his old players in to be honest there was a rumour about his old keeper when he first arrived he might be worth a shot you never know

i think casper schmichael is out on loan at the minute i think sven just wants to get him some expierience before he gets a real crack at the man city keepers spot

it doesn't matter who we buy.
i always think that other teams buy better players for less money as we do!
what are our scouts doing at the moment anyway? :1:

Daniel Jarque is believed to have flown to London last night to hold talks with Tottenham Hotspur. The 25-year-old Espanyol defender has missed the past four matches with a toe injury. Jarque would become the first significant arrival at White Hart Lane since Juande Ramos took over as head coach in late October.

Young Kasper is so far away from being a Premiership goalkeeper it is unreal. Solid shot stopper, but no command of his box. He was very very lucky that Dunne & Richards bailed him out big time on a number of occasions early in the season.

We already have a bright prospect in Alnwick, so surely we should be looking for an experienced goalkeeper if we are going to replace Clanger Robinson.

If your going to quote me at least put it all in m8! I did say "even if it turns out for the future". he only young with alot to learn, but he's got good potenial. Agree with u we need someone experienced in there, maybe Cudicini or green, I heard a rumor that we were looking at ajax goalkeeper Marten Stekelenburg, He has a very good reputation so any of them will be nice :5:
