Well in Roscos thread honoring King I posted...
"New stadium name......
KING STADIUM enough said"
Now that got me thinking wouldn't that be sweet to name the new stadium after a current legend. While there are many legends in the club KING STADIUM just has a strong feeling to it. Just a thought I know the people who are putting money on it wouldn't have it but it really would be cool.
We are heading into a new stadium and a whole new era of Spurs football and why not name it after a man who helped us reach this new era.

Or at least a stand ... The Ledley King Stand has a nice ring to it as well![]()
Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?
woah, there are many more legends more befitting to name a stand or stadium after
Some stage in the future then yea certainly a stand or section but for the time being I'd rather when the new stadium is built that they name one stand after Blanchflower and the single tier stand after Sir Bill. We've got so many heroes in our history but there are none more deserving than those 2. If the current plans are fully approved the space outside the ground with walkways will give the club massive amounts of space to honour or legends with statues, busts or something similar all around the ground that's where Ledley should get honoured first.
I love Ledley as much as the next Spurs fan but in the grand scheme of things he has some way to go to surpass the legends of the 60's.
It will be the tampax sponsored stand and we will make a bundle of dough from it!!!

I wouldnt say so, Blanchflower even though he was a fantastic player he only played 300 games for us, he would be 5th on my list.
if you discount SBN
Perryman would be most deserving, then i would say Mabbutt or Mackay.
What will happen to SBN's ashes btw? They were spread on the pitchside at the lane.

How about "Sir Bill Nicholson Square" for the large communal garden area out the front?
Are we still going to get the statue of Walter Tull? That would be a fitting tribute.
Would be brilliant to name the 4 ends of the ground by calling them things like, Blanchflowers Gate, Perrymans Gate, Greaves Gate and finally Kings Gate.
"There's a fine line between madness and genius - God removed that line and replaced it with Gazza"
Perhaps King's college could buy the naming rights, eh????![]()
