Gosh....this is difficult. The game was low scoring....I think the LB and RB on both teams did good jobs of stopping their opposite numbers, though Bale and Lennon did anything they could. Gomes made a few great saves. Crouchy scored the goal. Kaboul was very solid in defence and contributed nicely to the attack. The centre players put in effort and while unspectacular, did a fine job.
3: King - Did everything perfect. Blocked shots, led strikers away from the goal. Monster game.
2: Dawson - As above.
1: BAE - Took Johnson out of the game, who ended up looking elsewhere.
This is one match where I think every player mentioned above should be given the full 3.
Dawson was unbelievable against Tevez IMO, what a fookin defender he's turned out to be
King: Oh captain my captain! If Ledders can play like that on 3 days notice, then Capello should be starting Daws and King, not Terry and Rio
Bale: What a boy! Saw him almost coughing his lungs out towards the end.
and finally.....
Gomes: Yid of the Year IMO. from his calamity james impressions to rock fookin solid, and a big reason why we are now in Europe.
